Had high hopes for this new location, but it was terrible. First, waitress was strange and wanted to act like a bossy mother to my kids when they wanted to order sodas. Then, when my son asked to change his soda to a milkshake, she said it was too late because she already entered it in the system--we hadn't even gotten the soda yet! Then said she could bring him a smaller serving of the shake and seemed to get angry when he said no he would like the the regular size. She charged us for soda and the regular size shake. My wife's taco salad was dry and was supposed to have refried beans. My son's fried chicken was over fried and the chicken was hard like jerky. My chicken fried steak was luke warm. Waitress never came to check on us after food was served. We had to flag her down just to get to go box and the check. She gave me the check and immediate gave me her order machine to pay while she stood there watching me enter her tip. I thought the bill was a little high and when I got home and looked at their menu again, I was over charged for my chicken fried steak (menu says 16.99 and was charged 21.27) and my son's fried chicken (menu says 20.99 and was charged 23.98). Just all the way around horrible and feel ripped off!

Had a great experience taking my Mother to Black Bear Diner to celebrate her birthday. Arturo and Johnny provided amazing service. Everything was accurate, delicious and well portioned. Perfect place to take her.

We came again to black bear diner for breakfast and was really excited since the food was good the last time I was there. This time it was disappointing, we had to wait more than 30 mins for our food and there wasn’t even that many other people. The food finally arrived and it had no flavor at all! We had almost finished our orange juice when the food arrived and they didn’t even ask us if we needed a refill. Also I wish the orange juice had ice. The service was not the best, the waiters were just talking to each other. I don’t think we will be coming back to this place.

So happy they opened this place near me, the breakfast is so delicious specially those fluffy sweet pancakes! I have to go back now to try the blueberry ones. I believe they give you a good amount of food for the price you pay for, I still need to come and try lunch and dinner but this will be my breakfast to go place.

This was our first time trying this Tomball black bear diner today and it was great. I ordered the Chick Cesar Sandwich My Wife the Big Grizz and my niece the meatloaf everything was great and delicious KJ our server was amazing He definitely helped and gave us his favorites that we should try. He has great energy, a big heart and friendly personality. With the great food he made the experience great. This guy will be the reason we come back! Awesome Awesome service and atmosphere!

This was our first time here and we will be back. The food is southern tasty and seasoned very well. They offer a military discount so that was a plus. Pebbles was our server and she was very attentive and prompt. Overall an excellent experience.
