A resident of Alameda since 2008, he lives with his wife, a lifelong Alameda native, and their two sons. A San Francisco native, Dr. James completed his pediatric residency at Kaiser Permanente Oakland, where he also served as Chief Resident and later as a Patient Safety Fellow. He earned both his undergraduate degree and Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and received his medical degree from the UCSF School of Medicine. His professional interests include clinical research, medical education, and community outreach. Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports, anime, and cooking.
