Why isn’t everyone talking about this place?? It’s SO good. It’s the best Mexican place I’ve ever eaten at. You need to go and order the Molcajetes. We got the golden cactus molcajetes that came with chorizo and beef and it was perfection. Best fajitas I’ve ever had.

Definitely finish your trip with the churros too. I can’t wait to go back and try more things in the menu.

Food was so good, the chips and guc and pico was delish!! And the beef taco was also good, the cinnamon rice water drink was sweet and good as a dessert ! The atmosphere is so cozy & cute.

First time here and OMG!!! First, it feels very authentic and you feel like you’re not in Canada, second, the food and drinks came out so quick it was impressive, and then Fatima our waitress was very sweet and attentive.
I had the spiciest Aguachile ever (but soooo good) and she brought me an horchata to help me bring the spicy down haha.
The only thing I wasn’t a fan, was the margarita. It was too sweet and that fake lime flavour wasn’t nice, also didn’t feel the Tequila. But, I appreciate the effort. I’m very picky with my Tequila.
Prices are great!!! Shrimp en Mojo de Ajo, was delicious!
100% recommended!

My recent visit to this restaurant was disappointing due to several inconsistencies and quality concerns. We ordered a Quesabirria taco, advertised as $7 on both the menu and the website, but were charged $7.50. When we asked about the discrepancy, staff explained it was an additional charge for “adding cheese.” This pricing difference was not indicated on the menu and gave the impression of unclear or misleading pricing.

We ordered two items in total: the Golden Cactus Molcajete and a single Quesabirria taco.

The Quesabirria rated approximately 1 out of 5. The meat was dry, the consommé lacked richness and seasoning, and the portion of cheese was minimal despite the higher price. Based on overall taste and value, I would not recommend this dish.

The Golden Cactus Molcajete rated around 3 out of 5. The meats were tender and well seasoned, though the dish was noticeably oily, and the portion sizes of the accompanying sides were smaller than expected. It is a flavourful option, but those sensitive to heavier foods may find it overly rich.

Pricing across the menu also seemed inconsistent, with single tacos priced at $7 and a set of three at $21, offering no incentive for ordering larger quantities. Additionally, the restaurant environment could benefit from greater maintenance—there was visible dust on several surfaces, and the men’s washroom door did not lock.

In conclusion, while the Molcajete was reasonably enjoyable, the experience as a whole did not meet expectations in either value or quality. If I were to return, it would be solely to order a Molcajete for takeout.

We had molcajetes and they were absolutely amazing! The flavors were rich, the portions generous, and everything came out sizzling hot.
Moises was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.

Enchiladas Verde was good, Lime Margarita was strong. Noise and music was loud which made conversation more challenging than necessary. Quantity and price for tortilla chips and salsa was very poor value and nothing memorable about the taste. Parking is challenging to find and because there is only 1 entrance for entry and exit, manoeuvring your vehicle between the parked cars at the dead end of the lot is tricky and congested with other cars turning around.

It was a great dinner! We ordered seafood molcajete and molcajete carne asada, both are great but a little bit salty for us. The fish taco is delicious! They are crispy and juicy. Highlight recommended!

We've been trying to come here for over a year and it just didn't work out. Today though, proved it was worth the wait!
It's a fun atmosphere, we loved the decor but most importantly, loved the food! Got as close to licking the plate as possible without actually licking! So good!

We had lunch the other day after someone strongly recommended we try it. Wow!! This is a small restaurant with a large heart and lots of character and charm. It is true Mexican cuisine. Our server was fantastic as he helped us with the menu. We ordered tacos and enchiladas and it was all delicious! International Avenue hits again. Gracias for an amazing experience and we can’t wait to come back again!
