This place is not just another record store. This is one of the BEST music stores I have ever been to. Sure there not open every day before noon but they have been there since the 1970's and i've sometimes found them open till midnight. I noticed that they do have TWO "hours" signs and one of them is hallarious(I'll let you read it if you go). It is very well organized and has records as low as $1.00, but most of the stuff is $3.99 up to fifteen bucks. There is TONS of new vinyl (like every other store) but this store has tons of SEALED unopened ORIGINAL pressings, but the stuff I like is the RARE ones and I could stay in that nice cool basement for ever.I remember going out there from Scarborough when it was called "Records On Wheels" because we all wanted those rare live imported bootleg records and CD's. The staff was helpfull and recomended other bands and artists to check out. I never found them condescending or rude like alot of other stores. Nowadays they are closed in the summer time a bit but I they do put a "Gone Fishing" (I think the guy had a heart attack recently) sign on the door. Most record stores don't even know what you are asking for when you ask for "The Beatles Butcher Cover' or bands like "Bent Wind" or "Plastic Cloud" etc... but this store not even knows about them, they have two or three copies for sale. Back in the day they turned me on to stuff like "Hawkwind" and "Nektar" or "The Strawbs" and I probably would have never heard of "Rory Gallagher" or "Roy Harper" if I had never gone in there. Thank god for the real rude winner owner that likes to talk down to people(just kidding). I can't see how anyone could get that impression. And overpriced albums, are you kidding? Look, I have found that if you do not complain about the prices in stores, but are just nice to people then they will be nice to you. They want you back and to keep you happy so heaven forbid if you just try to "HAGGLE" without insulting or arguing you will find it works. The dude at this store is no different and he cuts me "DEALS" all the time and I could only find one copy of "GET THE KNACK" and it was $3.99. Oh by the way, they DO NOT take plastic so take CASH. Lot's of CASH.

Seriously, why own a shop if you're never going to be open to the public?
I went there on a Wednesday afternoon, almost 1pm.... still closed. I mean, this guy just doesn't even try.
And when it IS open, it's a mess of overpriced albums and a basement which sports sub-zero temps and about 400 copies of "GET THE KNACK" priced at $12.00 each (OK, that's an exaggeration... maybe there's only 350 copies).
Add a rude owner who loves to talk-down to everyone and you have a real winner.

I used to go to this store to buy used records many years ago. I found that half the time I went there the place was closed. There would never be a sign suggesting when they would be back. Well I became sick of this happening so I stopped going. I called them a couple of days ago to find out that they now sell new records. I went there twice on Saturday and again it was closed both times! I guess I'll go back to shopping at Records on Wheels and Alternative Audio in Dundas ON.
