As a new patient, I am very pleased with Frankel & Puhl's Maumee office. I am trying to "catch up" on my dental care, so I have had a few appointments rather quickly. They have been very accommodating, understanding, and professional at every turn. Every individual that I have met and dealt with has been very knowledgeable and, more importantly, very pleasant! The staff has helped me make a plan...even with some complicated issues. I'm glad I found them!

We would like to give zero stars, but are giving them 1 for blowing up our phones with texts, emails, phone calls and voice mails to confirm our appointments that start roughly 2 weeks before our appointments and continue relentlessly up until the day before the appointments. How can anyone be expected to confirm an appointment 2 weeks out? Who has any idea what can happen in their lives in those 2 weeks? We made the appointments. We know we have them. We know we have 24 hours to cancel. If we haven't called to cancel, we're coming. Enough said! And, when you don't confirm, they send a deceptive text/email that says something to the effect of, "your appointments have been rescheduled", which is a lie, just to get you to call them. And, their new threat is, if you don't confirm, your appointments will be cancelled. We have appointments. We haven't called to cancel. That's our confirmation! We should not have to endure this grievous bombardment, harassment and manipulation to keep appointments we booked months ago in good faith. We have been with them for years and have never missed and appointment. We will be searching for a new dentist.

On 9-16-2026 I kind of had a panic attack on my first visit everyone that came in was sick or had some kind of cough some worse the others I have Lupus and a very low immune system the whole time I couldn’t concentrate on anything was just worried about getting sick one person had there mask down under her nose. That being said I went back for my cleaning today and was nervous but the hygienist was well and did very good a much better experience today. 9-17-2026

They get two stars because the building rooms and TVs are nice and everything is clean. But what matters most is the customer service and care in the end. Most of the encounters I have had from this clinic were not pleasant. The hygienist I had was not friendly at all. The doctor was ok. And the check out lady with the blue eyes and Bob was extremely cocky and uncaring. The whole visit and vibe made me feel uncared for and it was clearly most important to them to make sure insurance and payment was at their highest priority instead of making sure im comfortable and taken care of with my issue. I do not recommend this team and office. I expected more from a highly rated office.

As an anxious patient who had not been to a dentist in 5 years, the Toledo office was INCREDIBLE!! My hygienist, Becci, was very kind and reassuring and talked to me the whole time. She was very gentle and made me feel totally at ease throughout the entire process!
