Very quick service. Drinks were great. Pasta portions were small and flavourless. Pizza and chickens looked large and flavourful. Will try again. Great patio.

First time out in Toronto we went to this Italy-inspired restaurant. In the end we were not all that impressed with the visit. The menu was quite extensive, wine list not so much. Service was slow and they didn’t know anything about the wines they recommended. In the end we took a doggy bag and went home.

Nodo Liberty is not to be missed. Everything about it is excellent. We went twice in a three day span. The quality of the ambiance, service, menu, food and value for money cannot be over-stated. On both occasions we were there, despite being busy our servers spent time with us when choosing our meals and periodically during our meal. The food and drink menus are extensive and varied. The excellence of Nodo on two occasions left us totally impressed. Truly a very special restaurant.

We had dinner at Nodo Liberty last night.

The service was fast and friendly and Sheila, our server, did an excellent job of looking after us.

We had the calamari fritto for starters and for our main courses we had the pappardelle with ragu d'antara, caura & oltriggioso pizzas and spigola mediterranca. For desert, we shared the torta cioccolato. Everything we ordered was very tasty.

My only complaint was of the 5 different beers on the menu, they had only had one of them and at the end of our dinner when we wanted a beer to finish our meal, they didn't have any beers left?

Other that that, we all had an enjoyable evening and highly recommend Nodo for dinner!

On our way to a concert at the nearby CNE, we stopped in at NODO Italian for an early meal. It's a very attractive place on the second floor, with a beautiful bar, dining room, and patio. We chose to sit at a high-top table under a covered area next to the bar.

Their menu has some very attractive dishes and it took our group of seven a while to decide on what to order. Our choices included a couple of pizzas, Caesar salad, pasta, chicken, octopus, and a couple bottles of red wine.

Both pizzas, one with tomato sauce and the other with a white sauce, were delicious. The crust had a nice texture, although it got a bit soggy towards the end. The flavours were very good.

The pasta was perfectly cooked, with good flavour. The octopus was very tender and delicious. The chicken was also very tasty but a wee bit on the dry side. Our server brought us a complimentary serving of tiramisu as compensation.

The wine, Tavernello Sangiovese Cabernet, was so enjoyable, we ended up ordering a second bottle.
