In the fall of 2015, we purchased a new Avalanche 331RE fifth wheel trailer from Camping In Style and picked it up from the dealership on June 3, 2016. Being newly retired and purchasing our first RV, we were very excited to take the new trailer to a number of campgrounds where we could become familiar with it. When we were leaving the second location, the one slide would not completely close tight to the trailer. We called and spoke with the service manager, Ryan Edgell and he suggested we stop by so they could take a look at it. We did that and the problem was identified and fixed immediately. A couple of weeks later, the hydraulic system completely failed while we were setting up at a campsite. We contacted Ryan and he attended at our location the next morning with a service technician. They worked for about two hours (on a very hot day) to raise the trailer and the jacks. The manual backup system for the hydraulics would not even work. Eventually they were able to hook the trailer up to their truck and they took it back to the dealership. They had to order in a new hydraulic motor and while they had it in the shop, they fixed the few minor cosmetic issues we had reported earlier. When we received it back, we headed out on a 6 1/2 week trip to western Canada and the US. Absolutely no issues and an amazing trip!!
While this was a very disappointing start to our RVing life, it is important to note that the issues we experienced with our trailer were not the fault of Camping In Style. The dealership made sure everything was taken care of and they kept us apprised of the progress throughout that time.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Camping In Style to my friends. They are always available to respond fully and patiently to the many questions we have as new RV owners. We look forward to continuing to deal with Camping In Style.n
