Connections are everything when staying in NYC. At Shefah Hotels, we make sure you have the right connection in terms of transportation. We run the coziest hotel near Port Imperial ferry, in the proximity of NYC. We’re very close to the Big Apple, but away from the hustle and bustle.

My stay at the Shefah Hotel was so wonderful!
My neighbors are respectful and quiet, the price is decent for having an AC and cable tv with a fridge in the room. I, personally, like smaller rooms, to each their own. Even the locks on the inside of the bedroom offer maximum security.
NO BUGS! Every room was neat and tidy, it'd decent for the size. Staff were super friendly upon my arrival and during my visit. The only complaint is that the microwave/coffee maker was in the basement while I was on floor 4 and there was no utensils for food if needed, no biggie though. I highly recommend this place if you're on a budget!

Good option if you stay 1 or 2 nights, more than that can be overwhelming.
There is no reception, the rooms are very tiny and old. Bed quite uncomfortable.
There was a TV, but it was not working. The location is good though, with some option of groceries and restaurants in a short walk.
The bus to Manhattan is in the corner, so very easy. The neighborhood is also quite and smooth.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am an experienced travel and if I know anything it is how to travel on a dime. I found this place, read the reviews and read many of the responses. I like when an owner bites back, I like when an owner has pride in what they provide. So, in that I bit the bullet and made a reservation. It's fast, easy, you just gotta make sure you are okay with either sharing a bathroom or paying a little more for an en suit. The place was clean with the bus stop for NY right there on the corner. I was on the top floor so it was nice and quiet. No weird smells, no feeling of being watched. I loved it. The cleaning staff are kind and attentive. I even messed up my reservation and had myself checking out a day earlier than I meant to. I was in the middle of Manhattan when I got the call. I was prepared to beg for just one more night but it was no trouble at all. They asked if they could charge the same card and it was easy as that. They emailed me a new code for the door as well as my room and I was on my way. The call took probably fifteen seconds. I will be returning next year with a buddy of mine. Shefah, you have my heart!

Great communication by staff via email, good location, and great price. That said, I still would not recommend you stay here ( especially as hostels are luck of the draw in terms of fellow guests). What I experienced was a constant of non-stop door slamming noise, people arguing in units, loud music in the hallway, and people screaming. It was a nightmare. Also, the bathrooms could use a reno, the stairs are quite narrow/short, and the a/c unit had only the option of full blast or turned off.

The staff have great commutation and are nice. It’s priced reasonably which i respect a lot. The cleaning just needs to be stepped up. Not a very sanitary hotel but bathrooms are in a nice condition and they provide soaps which is a great plus
