Called the office to clarify some confusion as to why they would charge a non-refundable fee for zero information. Person on the phone was extremely rude and hung up and extremly condescending. Get some better training. Absolutely criminal.

Trying to renovate my house with a tight budget. Trying to add a second bathroom, permit immediately denied without providing any alternative solutions other than replacing my septic system (30k) which was just 4 years (now 12 years old) when I purchased the house. I can remove a tub in the master bedroom, an extra sink we don't need to be able to include the extra bathroom which is much needed due to my growing family. Costs are high and we are on a tight budget, all things considered. Public servants are supposed to help the public, I thought, and no help was provided whatsoever. Just red tape. This is why bureaucrats get a bad rap.
