I wanted to go ahead and put a review on here. I was admitted around this time last year and This place changed my life. They gave me hope, hospitality, and encouragement that I needed at my lowest. When I didn't know the outcome I was given patience. When I needed to go on my recovery journey, they listened and encouraged me to do so. Dr.Farhan was a wonderful man and I appreciate everything he did. He listens, even though he isn't a therapist, he is a wonderful doctor. I now work at a crisis center, got my GED, and have my life together. Thank you so much staff! Peter is a wonderful counselor and needs a pay raise and his wife is such a sweet lady. Thank you so much to Katie, she saved my life. Thank you all!

This facility is great! The staff, all of them are compassionate, professional. Im currently in the out patient program where we all come to group between 3-5day therapy. The therapists are fantastic, my life has greatly improved from before.
Special shout outs: Jason, Michelle, Ashley, Jonathan, Melissa, Lexington and Kerrian!!

My daughter is a patient at this facility. Her medical care is being overseen by a Dr. Tarek Kanaa. I had discussed my daughter’s care with my daughter, the patient and we both decided that it was in her best interest to receive care from a facility and doctor whom has previously cared for her. She is willing to get help which is a huge healing step in this process and I want to support her the best I can. She has received care from this other doctor many times and we have always been happy with the care provided. When speaking of Dr. Kanaa my daughter informed me that he excited the room after there session responding to a question saying “because I have all of the power” then proceeding to make a peace sign on his way out. Being a nurse I am appalled that this took place. This is just one reason we came to the decision to move facilities. When asked to transfer my daughter I was told absolutely not. I am now not only having to focus on my daughters mental health recovery but also having to make sure that her patient rights are not violated. As far as I know she still has rights? One of those being the right to a second opinion. I have tried contacting several people with higher authority including the facility administrator and CEO but have not received a call back. I would like a written statement by the physician stating denial of transfer and reasoning why but I doubt that will happen. I wonder if this is to keep money in the facility. Is the physician getting paid per patient? What is the reason behind not wanting to transfer I would like an answer. Transport was mentioned but I offered to pay out of pocket.
Patients with mental health/substance abuse Disorders still have rights. This situation frightens me for people who don’t have the means or knowledge to help their loved ones.

My daughter was recently here. They did not understand her health needs and provide her the proper diet. They over medicated her and masked her symptoms. They poorly planned her discharge. I couldn't be involved while she was there and expected to figure out her needs when she got home. My daughter felt unsafe at times because of some of the aggressive patients. My daughter needed a place to help her and they fell short.

atrocious. you treat your patients and families like trash. if you hate talking to people and being kind don’t get a job where you need to do exactly that. fix your policies and hire better employees. the service here is beyond disgusting.

The facility is new and in good condition. Mental health facilities are notorious for getting bad reviews from people who don't understand how the mental health system works in the United States. I saw none of the incompetence that some say permeates this particular hospital. In fact I found the doctor to be very knowledgeable and listened to someone who's been dealing with his mental illness for over 30 years. The only reason I cannot give this hospital five stars is because the food was severely lacking. I have stayed at other mental health facilities inpatient and this was by far the worst food I've had in any of them. If they get more food options and better cooking, then I would reevaluate my four-star rating and give it five stars.

I spoke to Brook several times concerning my adult son. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She truly wanted to make sure that my son received the help that he needed. Thank you for caring for others.

The nurses and technicians are an absolute godsend and likely the reason I enjoyed even remotely a portion of my 7 day stay. The female Doctor is a legitimate problem and will threaten to cut you off of your MAT medication if you show her any attitude (after she tells you your 3-4 day stay has turned into a week or more, and it upsets you). She will label you an abuser/drug seeker of medication because you’re upset she wants to cut the only medication that has prevented me from a fentanyl relapse.

The actual Dr Kanaan(? Sorry if I misspelled that sir), is a godsend and actually understands your needs without threatening to cut off your medication lifeline. He is a big portion that I believe this program will be successful in my life.
Brooke, Ivan, Mercy, Tracy and practically every other employee are overworked to the bone but lord knows they remain happy and will go out of there way to help you anyway possible.

Food can be hit or miss, ask for double portions because the portions definitely are bad. Food schedule is weird as hell, 7:30-breakfast-11:30-lunch 4:30 dinner. And a chance for a snack(if you’re lucky enough to catch them when handed out), which could consist of Chex mix and an apple if you’re lucky enough to- which is expected to hold you over till 7:30 tomorrow. I couldn’t sleep the first 3 nights out of pure hunger.

All in all, 6.3/10, if I’m ever in a bad situation again I would definitely go back, with the stipulation I only talk to Dr Kanaan.

It’s only 2 or 3 ticks above a prison, but it can be helpful.
No phones
No necklaces
Etc etc

They’re more worried about suicide than alcohol detox which I can understand.

All in all, not bad once I made friends - would recommend if you’re REALLY bad off. If you’re a mild alcoholic just trying to get clean, or have ‘passive suicidal ideation’ even with zero intent to actually do anything- I would avoid if at all possible. Was placed here by Norman Regional.

Thank you to the amazing nurses and techs and staff, screw you lady doctor. Don’t threaten me.

An amazing support system with nurses, techs, doctors, and staff necessary to operate. A little overwhelmed at first, I quickly adjusted to the routine, and understood the goals to be attained by attending group sessions, getting meds on time (provided ONLY by a pharmacist or nurse); and having meals that were specifically ordered for my condition. I was able to make friends, communicate with staff freely, have adjustments made to my meds, and recognize the purpose of my stay. The place is squeaky clean, and I cannot Thank Enough the dedicated staff for helping in my recovery and subsequent follow ups with the doctors. Also, family visits were scheduled twice weekly to keep in touch and ask for clothing or hygiene items. MANY THANKS!!!!

I was inpatient here for 10 days, before Thanksgiving 2024, and during that time I saw a doctor daily for medication needs/changes and each day participated in up to 3 group counseling sessions focusing on a range of topics from anger management to overcoming loneliness and isolation, etc. Excellent food, comfortable beds and peaceful surroundings. I definitely needed my stay here and definitely benefitted from it.

Took my mother there for mental help. This place will not communicate with you. They will constantly lie to you. My mom was so scared being there she said it felt like prison. Needless to say 2000 dollars later me and my sisters had to file for guardianship for my mom. They wanted to keep her and make her a product of the state. We begged and plead with them to not take her to court to take over her care completely. They would not budge. So we had to hire a lawyer and get emergency guardianship of her. The CEO met with us more than once tried to reassure us they would take excellent care of her but we couldn't believe a word he said. Got a bad vibe from him. I would highly recommend not to go here. We also had power of attorney on our mother but that wasn't good enough for them. When we picked up our mom they was no where to be found. They would not let us talk to the Dr. at all. The facility is nice but the staff is really lacking and incompetent. Also she went 5 days without regularly scheduled meds. And come out of there so weak barely able to walk.

My father was transported here from the nursing home that he was at. He has dementia, and was getting super aggressive with the staff at the nursing home. So he was sent here to see what could be done about his aggressive behavior and medication changes. He spent roughly a week and a half here, had some needed medication changes, and is doing so much better now back at the nursing home he resides at. His aggressive behavior is now nonexistent.

I can’t give enough thanks to the doctors and staff who took care of him while he was in their care. He was treated with dignity and respect. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place to anyone who is needing an option to send their loved one who is dealing with mental health issues.

This facility truly cares about their patients. It is a new facility and in the process of establishing a unique, supportive, and inclusive culture for patients and staff to feel safe as they work to achieve their personal best. The staff are always looking for ways to improve and takes all concerns seriously. The medical staff is attentive and knowledgeable, taking into consideration that medical concerns need to be fully addressed regardless of the behavioral health diagnosis. At this facility, the psychiatrist actually visits with every patient every day!
