She attended college at The University of Alabama, where she was a proud member of the Million Dollar Band and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She attended college at The University of Alabama, where she was a proud member of the Million Dollar Band and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to receive her optometry degree from The University of Alabama in Birmingham. During her time in school, she was a member of the Private Practice Club and received accolades in the field of Low Vision. Following her doctorate, she completed an intensive one-year residency program in ocular disease at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.
