He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Chicago Hospital. He completed a fellowship in hand/upper extremity surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston.Dr. Brustein's desire to help people started at a young age. "Ever since the time that I was in junior high, I set myself up through high school and college to be a doctor," he says. "I really wanted to help people in a direct way."That desire also led him to his specializing in orthopedic and upper extremity surgery.
