Highly HIGHLY recommend Dogtopia to take care of your fur family members. I travel for work regularly and need to board my 2 dogs. I really wouldn't even consider trusting anyone else with my "kids". I know my dogs are loved and well cared for by the staff. You can tell that everyone that works there loves animals.

Initially, I took my Sally for boarding, but I realized how much more they had to offer. The socialization, the activities, grooming and staff make it a perfect place for Sally. She's there weekly for doggy day care. The fact that she's so excited when we get there says it all. I would highly recommend them.

Milo absolutely loves Dogtopia on Stacy Rd! Every time we pull into the parking lot, his tail is going a mile a minute, he can barely contain his excitement.
That tells you everything you need to know.
The staff does a great job, and it’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs in their care. We always feel good dropping him off knowing he’s in good hands. Highly recommend to any McKinney pet owner looking for a trustworthy daycare!

I really wanted to like this Dogtopia location because it’s so close to my house, but after back-to-back negative experiences, I no longer feel comfortable bringing my dog here.
I’ve boarded my dog since he was a puppy and have never had issues until this location. During his stay, they told me he has separation anxiety which is true, and something many dogs experience while boarding. But instead of reassuring me, they suggested I should have someone on call to pick him up if needed. I’m new to the city and don’t have family nearby, so that response immediately made me feel like they weren’t prepared to genuinely care for or comfort him during his stay.
What made the experience worse was the lack of communication. I boarded him at another location the week before and received thoughtful updates and check-ins about how my dog was doing. This location provided nothing. No updates at all. Then when I arrived to pick him up, the employee who originally spoke to me about his separation anxiety didn’t even acknowledge or greet me, but immediately greeted the customer who walked in behind me. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. And it would’ve been nice to hear about his stay since there was no communication during the weekend.
I also paid for him to be bathed during his stay. When checking out, a different employee than the one I previously mentioned asked me directly how much I wanted to tip instead of allowing me to handle it privately on the keypad like most places do. She continued to insist on an amount, which made me uncomfortable especially after already spending close to $200 and receiving little communication or reassurance about my dog’s care. After I got home I noticed dried blood on my dogs nail which I assume could be a result of cutting one of his nails too short.
I originally signed up for a membership so my dog could attend weekly, but after receiving my receipt he wasn’t even signed up until after his boarding ended. So I got a refund. I would recommend finding a daycare and boarding facility that truly prioritizes your dog’s wellbeing and gives owners peace of mind while they’re away.

this place is amazing. I have a one-year-old French bulldog and I'm a hairstylist in Plano, Texas and my hours are long and I appreciate that they open at seven in the morning and are available for pick up at seven in the evening. It is a very clean facility. The staff seem very happy with what they do. They're generally caring people for the animals and the owners. I feel confident when I drop him off that he's getting his playtime but yet they keep him safe the best way possible they offer snacks they have activities as far as training and photos of your puppy dog so far the experience has been amazing if you're interested in taking your dog to play or board or training I would definitely recommend dog utopia in McKinney Texas . A very special thank you to you and your amazing staff.
