I too am still waiting for my father's headstone to be put up. He passed away in 2020. Was told at the time, that the headstone was basically on back order bc stone and concrete and all that had a supply issue due to civil, which I do know at the time was true bc an aunt passed away a few months later and we were told same thing by that other funeral home as well. Funny thing is, she got her about a month and half, maybe 2 months later. My dad still yet to receive his. In the over 5 years time, they have answered 1 phone call. Claim to not have record of one being ordered or paid for. They picked my father's body up from Cincinnati,.ohio and took him back down there to Williamsburg, did a small service at the cemetery, and buried him. Well I know they didnt do all that free, they would have contacted us for payment if it was looking that way. His insurance paid for all that snd the headstone. Definitely crooks. Definitely went down hill since original owners passed. Sad thing is, this family was/is my mother's cousins/aunts/uncles.

This funeral home does NOT support grieving families and will hold on to remains!! My friend spent the last 3 months fighting to get her urn for her brother. Every excuse in the book. Lied and said she didn’t pay, but she had a receipt. Said it was locked away and the employee wouldn’t come into work to open (after being told to come get it and taking a 2 hour drive to do so). Now they said they “found” the urn, yet they only sent the remains in a box!! This is bad practice!!

This was a very nice funeral home, not new, but didn't look old, and was we'll kept!

my father passed away in July of 2022, his funeral was held at the Croley funeral home. i had to endure the fact that I had lost my father, but Andy Croley allowed people that were of no relation to make all the arrangements, his obituary was completely false with people that weren't even related as his children. I called and asked for his DC, and it took me a year and a half to get it, oh, by the way it was also completely false in which case I had to get a court order to get it fixed. these people were some of the rudest people I have ever met, and it took over a year to get my father's head stone on his resting place, for which he had an excuse for that as well. I and my father's family tried telling AC that we at least wanted his DC fixed, and he actually yelled "listen I'm trying to tell you that you need to speak to the ladies that gave me that information( again, they were and are no relation ) to my father or us or get a court order to change it. I wouldn't recommend this place for a poor stray dog!! let alone your loved ones.... apparently, im not the only one who feels this way about this place. terrible business

Terrible service, took the money for two headstones and nine months later they are still not put up. Said that they never heard from us despite multiple calls and never hearing back.
This once amazing funeral home “died” when the son took over. Stay away from this place and take your love ones to a place where they actually care.

Place is so rude and no way would I ever recommend anyone to send there love ones here. This place was awesome and so caring when Jerry was over it. Now that the son has it, horrible service. Had to keep calling and calling for death certificate, videos, and other things. Never received the pictures that was used. Never would return phone calls and never got a video, was told they don't do them anymore after the fact. And never received death certificate ordered them online which was more money.

4 funerals at this place and each time the obituary is completely messed up. Mis-spelled names, age, and even visitation times have all been incorrect, and that's even after verifying and correcting the information multiple times with the staff.

Services are never recorded due to "technical" issues and they now no longer provide copies of the video (music & pictures).

Billing and price is also a cause for concern as an itemized bill is non-existent, with a bulk of the charges being "Miscellaneous". No indication of what you're actually paying for and no consistency in prices, which seems to be based on what they feel like charging at that particular time.

They will also let ANYONE pick up personal effects and the ashes of your loved ones, including death certificates. It would make sense that whoever paid for the service is responsible for gathering these but that is not the case here. Just say you're related and you can do whatever you want, doesn't even matter if you're not a relative.

This place is either shady or downright incompetent. It would probably be significantly cheaper to contact the crematorium directly and held the service at home, or even in a rented public venue.

Oh, they also insist that embalming is necessary for cremation. It's not.

My mothers service was there this past May, my siblings and I ordered jewelry with her thumb print and ashes. We were told then that we would have them in 10 days. Now, four and a half months later we still haven’t received those items. The receptionist always tells us “oh call back tomorrow and speak to Andy” well Andy is never available for these calls. Not only has family not received the jewelry that we ordered, her service was also suppose to have been recorded by them. They didn’t inform us until after the fact that they had technical difficulties and were not able to record her service. If they failed to get her fingerprints (this seems like it should be standard?) they need to let us know so that we can close that door of expectation and refund us our money.

My Dads service was held at Croley Funeral Home. They were just so kind, helpful, professional and went out of their way to make the whole experience as easy as they could. The Croley family and staff have always displayed the utmost professionalism in their work. I appreciate them and would recommend them highly.
