I had a great visit to Bealls in Huntington — and I also learned while I was there that it’s pronounced “Bells,” which I appreciated knowing.

This store is a big win for Huntington. I’ve been hearing people talk about it, and after stopping in, I can understand why. The selection is incredible, with a lot more to browse than I expected. It feels like one of those places where you can stop in for one thing and end up finding several things you didn’t know you needed.

But what really stood out to me was the heart behind the store.

I had the chance to meet the manager, and she was wonderful. You can tell there is pride in what they are doing here. The store felt welcoming, well cared for, and like the people working there genuinely want it to be a good experience for the community.

That matters.

It is great to see a place like this in Huntington. Good selection, friendly people, a clean and easy-to-shop store, and a team that seems proud to serve the area.

I’m glad I stopped in, and I’m glad Huntington has Bealls.
