12 years ago we purchased new Willmar windows for our living room and dining room. Although these windows were sold to us as being maintenance free (aluminum clad), both lower corners sills have rotted out and the thermal pane seals have failed. Trying to initiate a warranty claim through Jeld-Wen (who I guess has purchased Willmar) is a complete nightmare. Although all the requested supporting information has been provided, (i) the call centre staff are of no help, (ii) the call centre/service territory Managers do not return calls, (iii) the service specialist who was to review my claim has quit and they have no replacement to deal with Willmar Windows. My advice - do not purchase these windows.

Purchased Wilmar windows when building our house. In 10 years we had 9 windows where the seals went bad. Gear mechanisms also broke. Replaced 6 of these. Called Wilmar in Winnipeg and they said no warranty. Too bad so sad!! They said absolutely no chance of getting warranty. I paid $16000 for the windows. This is the first and last time I would buy Wilmar windows. They are now called JELD-WEN windows.
Shop around and do your homework for a decent window.

I have had small issues with my windows purchased from Willmar. Handle knobs coming off, windows sticking and very hard to open. Haven't had any seal issues yet. Windows installed in 1998 in Burnaby BC.

Mine too. They all lost their seal and fogged up. Company says sorry, no warranty.

we purchased willmar windows for our home in 1996 and have had to replace almost all of them due to seal loss. They were very expensive to buy and very poor. Right now we are having to look at replacing some that were already replaced under warranty but now that the warranty has run out, it will be at our expense to do so.
