Whether you were raised in a synagogue, are returning to Jewish community life, or simply want to explore your heritage in a setting that values tradition and relationship with God, Beth Israel offers a meaningful and respectful place to grow. The temple gathers weekly for Shabbat services that blend the beauty of Jewish liturgy with heartfelt worship and thoughtful teaching. Services include traditional readings, music, and a message that connects the Torah and Prophets with personal reflection and community life. Each service concludes with a shared meal where guests and members can get to know each other in a relaxed, family-style atmosphere. The tone is reverent but warm—deeply honoring to God and inviting to people at any stage of life or belief. Families are central to the life of this synagogue. Children participate in age-appropriate learning during Shabbat, and there are pathways for Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation, youth engagement, and young adult involvement. Whether you’re raising kids or coming on your own, you’ll find a community that celebrates the milestones of Jewish life with sincerity and joy. Throughout the year, Beth Israel observes the full Jewish calendar—celebrating the High Holy Days, Passover, Sukkot, Hanukkah, and more. Each celebration is both traditional and spiritually enriching, designed to help people reconnect with the rhythm of the biblical year in a way that’s meaningful for today. Events are open and welcoming, with room for new people to participate without feeling out of place. This congregation is also committed to compassion and service—supporting local and global efforts to care for those in need, including Holocaust survivors, food pantries, and humanitarian projects in Israel. Acts of kindness are seen as essential expressions of Jewish life. Located in a peaceful setting near Baymeadows, Beth Israel’s lakeside campus includes a sanctuary filled with natural light, rooms for learning and gathering, and a community center for shared meals and holiday events. The entire space is designed to be accessible, comfortable, and easy to navigate for all ages and needs.
