After finding a ceiling fan on the Home Depot Canada web site (on sale at $135.00 from $169.99), my wife and I with our 11 month baby girl decided to go at the store to purchase it. We found the fan in question at the store but no sale ($135.00) as the web site stated. We asked a clerk why was it not signed and he told us that it's only on sale online and not at the store. I told him that the site had no message of online purchase only and that if the item was the same at the store, they should at least sell it to me at the sale price. He refused and could not believe that he could not satisfy me as a customer especially that Lowes ( they're big competitor ) is now near by and waiting for me to become a new loyal customer. I askes several people and they all refused. So if I order this thing online, it takes two weeks and it is picked up at the store ! Where does this make sense...It's already there at the store!
I've purchased ( advertised online ) sale items many times at the store and it was always on sale such as the web site.

That's the worst. I would have just bought both, installed the in store one then when the online one came returned it with the receipt of the non sale one. Not only that, I would explain to the store manager that I was going to do this to reiterate how absurd their logic is.

I hear your pain .. unfortunately I think home depot is still dominating the market. Rona has not made me happy on many occasions, it just does not compare .. lets hope lowes is gonna come with stronger offers in respect to many aspect - products, displays, services etc. Your baby is so cute!! congratulation :-)
