BEWARE!!!!! NIGHTMARE COMPANY!!!
We paid for a restoration on our home after a fire and we are being SCREWED. We paid almost 80k so far and the work being done is damaged everywhere. Heat is being turned on racking our bill up to $400 a month and this went on for 5 months. Interior door casings are severely damaged on install and I requested it to be replaced and all they did was argue and try to force me to accept poor work then after months of BEGGING they replaced it and damaged it all again along with the cabinets! Your calls, texts and emails are mostly ignored especially by MATT SOBERL the Operations Mngr who is incredibly rude and unprofessional whom also SCREAMED at me in my own home. Outside facade of my house was altered from the original design and blamed on me when everything was discussed in detail of what we wanted. Exterior windows were installed and not sealed and tons of water got into the walls and insulation and none of this was taken care of after I was promised except a few small patches and the rest IGNORED. Exterior closet aluminum wrap was installed and then damaged by a worker, my ladder was stolen by a worker, patio furniture and property destroyed. Dry wall was damaged and then they had an unprofessional elderly man come out whom looked impaired to "fix" and he damaged the Interior casing much more. Light fixtures were installed that I NEVER signed off on nor asked for & I had to BEG for months to get the ones I asked for. I had 2 sliding doors installed to replace left hand doors but they installed right hand doors due to not listening & tried to get me to accept it then after months of begging they reversed the doors but cracked the trim casing & didn't recaulk the exterior. Food trash being left on my property & in the house attracting bugs, drink dumped, construction trash all-over repeatedly. Their VB office caused a massive roach infestation & I had to beg for months to get treatment. Everytime I bring issues up, they say "ok we will take care of it", but you have to repeat yourself over & over like a broken record and they still ignore you then they try to manipulate you like you are the problem because they want you to roll over and accept CRAP WORK. I contact the owner Brandon and he says he will take care of it yet weeks later no change whatsoever and he has been out numerous times. Matt Soberl only skims through emails I send and answers a few questions and ignores others and I have been managing this whole job he has mismanaged while he gets paid. Contract says house work will be complete in "3 months, give or take" but it's been almost 8 since they were hired and it's nowhere near done and the contractor is almost NEVER on site and in the past month he has been there 3 times MAYBE. Contract says work will be done "as expeditiously as possible and in a professional manner" but everything moves at a glacial pace and looks AWFUL and amateur. I tell the owner and project manager that I won't have anywhere to live if this takes forever because we are paying a mortgage & rent along with bills in both homes for all types of utilities & 4 storage units for our belongings and 2 home insurances and they say nothing. My fire was 29 months ago and they are still nowhere near completion of our home. My cabinets, front door, trim casing, walls etc were all damaged. Everything you request is mostly ignored once they get your money 💰. I pay them the FULL AMOUNT they ask for & they deliver subpar rushed SLOPPY work and when you complain they just send another person to "fix it" and they make the problem worse. This has given my family MUCH anxiety but vocalizing this does not make a BIT of difference. Once they have your money they take their time and do it however they want at their own leisure & you can complain all you want but you will just get ignored!!! They seem pro when you meet them for an estimate but once the contract is signed, expect something totally different! WILL GREATHEART from WGHOMES WILL RUIN YOUR HOME!

RUN!

I utilized Paul Davis Restoration of Williamsburg to repair my home after a busted water pipe destroyed some walls and flooring in my home. This service was covered and paid for by my insurance company. My project manager was Boston and he was awesome. The work was completed timely and to specs.

Update: 3/16/26 - I just had the nightmare scenario of all the previous work by Paul Davis being wiped out by another leak in the house. The cause of this was poor craftsmanship from the plumber (not from Paul Davis). I used Paul Davis Water Restoration for the cleanup. Paul Davis was at my house within 2 hours of the leak. Mark was my assigned technician. Mark came everyday from start to finish of the job. He was helpful and took time to answer all my questions. Paul Davis worked with my insurance so the water damage restoration work was 100% paid for by my insurance, which means Paul Davis didn't overcharge to the standards of the industry. Not all companies do this, I know from experience.

I will be adding another update once Boston and his team complete the 2nd rebuild of my home.

I had to file a mitigation loss claim after a frozen pipe burst over the weekend, and Paul Davis Restoration was quick and professional in their response. Nevada truly stood out and did an amazing job. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped calm my nerves during a very stressful situation. His professionalism and reassuring presence made a huge difference, and I felt confident knowing my home was in good hands. The entire team was respectful and efficient, and I’m very grateful for the support. I would highly recommend Paul Davis Restoration for mitigation services.

I would have to caution anyone to use this company. The experience I had is not the same as the experience that others have posted reviews about. The people who work for Paul Davis are nice enough, but there is zero accountability. They hired a subcontractor, who then also hired a subcontractor to complete some work. That person butchered the job and left it unfinished. It took weeks to get someone back into the house to actually correct the situation. The work was eventually completed however we had to have new carpet patched into the existing carpet due to the original subcontractor completely destroying the existing carpet. This company took zero responsibility for hiring someone who wasn’t able to complete the work, and who caused more work and a substandard outcome. It’s unfortunate that Paul Davis doesn’t see their responsibility in who they are hiring to send out to people’s homes to complete work. But they do see their bottom line and expect full payment for substandard work. Any company with integrity would see the situation they caused as a problem and would address it as such.

Had very good experience with Paul Davis Restoration. Leak in dishwasher required a new tile floor and some cabinets rebuilt.
The remediation and repair process was well communicated and executed. The Production manager, Matthew McDonald, was very helpful in the whole process. Any small issues that came up were addressed in a very timely manner. Lance did an excellent job with the cabinet rebuilds and other carpentry work. The entire team was very professional.

I had a nightmare of a leak in my rental property, luckily I was between tenants. I contacted Paul Davis, they sent someone out the next day to assess. They began remediation very quickly thereafter, opening walls and pulling up flooring, ran fans and dehumidifiers until everything was totally dry. The repairs were only delayed because of the insurance adjusters that went on vacation during my crisis 😑. Once they got back and gave the GO, Boston made sure to have someone out to repair the ceilings, floors, bathroom, replaced carpeting in the entire condo, painted and cleaned up afterwards. Dougie and Julian stayed super late just to turn the condo over to me completed within a couple of weeks. Anytime I had questions, I could always count on a call from Boston or Tommy. They didnt duck and dodge, they responded very quickly anytime I left messages. Even my property manager was impressed by their responsiveness, care and attention to detail. They literally buttoned up everything the day before my next tenant was due to move in. When I spoke to the insurance adjuster, even he was impressed that they were able to get everything in and done within 2 weeks of his estimate being sent over. Truly awesome work, excellent customer service, exceptionally professional and most of all, a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend Paul Davis of Williamsburg to anyone in the area.

Highly recommend this company! We recently moved in and we discovered some black mold behind a sink that our inspector missed. This company came out the next business day to get it all taken care of. They did absolutely amazing getting rid of it all. They contained the area with a hepa filter/air scrubber overnight and came back to take down containment. Tracey in the office was amazing keeping me updated and getting me scheduled. Chris and Rob both did a great job! Chris was very informative too which I really appreciated! They provided me with pics and everything as well which I appreciated so I could see what was found inside the wall. I am now getting a quote on restoring the half bath and will update when that is done but as of right now my experience with this company has been great! 😊

UPDATING POST RECONSTRUCTION:
Lance did an amazing job repairing the drywall in our garage and half bath! Very nice and professional. Everything looks brand new! Highly recommend this company for any mold remediation and/or restoration needs!

Rob and James did a fantastic job of remediating water damage from a dishwasher leak. They explained the process well, kept us up to date on progress, did a very clean floor demolition, came out every day to check moisture levels, and provided an overall professional experience.

Adding to my review now that the repair and installation is complete: I was very happy with the quality and speed of the flooring repairs and installation - Lance does excellent work. I work from home and other than the times where he let me know it was going to get a bit noisy, I hardly knew he was here.Throughout the whole reconstruction process, Boston kept us informed about what to expect, what would happen next, and when.
