He is passionate about helping patients restore confidence and achieve outcomes that align with their goals, whether through cosmetic enhancement or reconstruction following breast cancer treatment. Dr. Hermiz earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his general surgery residency at Prisma Health (formerly Palmetto Health) before pursuing a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. As the first member of his family to enter medicine, Dr. Hermiz values clear communication and strives to make every patient feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their care. He believes that successful surgical outcomes are built on trust, collaboration, and a strong patient-physician relationship. By listening carefully, approaching each patient without judgment, and serving as a compassionate advocate, he helps patients navigate some of life's most challenging moments with confidence and respect.
