We just stayed at this adult's only lodge this past weekend. This was our second time staying here and we were just as pleased as the first. The setting is lovely overlooking a peaceful lake. (Although the lake is peaceful, the lodge is really on Hwy. 35 so there is a constant noise of cars and trucks passing by).
The grounds are impeccably kept and the owners take pride in the establishment. The rooms are very comfortable- comfortable king bed, satellite TV, beautiful view. The owners have an eye for detail (ie. flowers, little chutkas here and there) that give the lodge a warm feel.
Breakfast and dinner are included in the reasonable rate. The food is OK, but high marks for presentation and service. We especially enjoyed their fresh baked bread and rolls.
There are canoes you can take out for free. There's a marina next door where you can rent motor boats at a reasonable rate.
I would definitely recommend this lodge.

how much per room? and what is the name of the lake? too bad about the car passing by noises .. i would love to visit this place for a weekend getaway but now i am not sure if that is acceptable actually lol
