I've had the privilege of visiting Arbor Terrace of Knoxville for more than six years as a hospice caregiver, and after spending time in many senior living communities, I can honestly say this is one of my favorites.
The care, compassion, and respect they show their residents is exceptional. There is always something going on to keep residents engaged, whether it's activities, special events, or outings. One thing I especially appreciate is that they give residents a voice by involving them in decisions about things like meal options, activities, and community events. It truly helps them feel valued and at home.
Another wonderful benefit is the on-site therapy services, which make it easier for residents to receive the care they need. Every resident I've had the pleasure of caring for has spoken highly of both the facility and its staff.
What stands out most to me is the longevity of the team. Many staff members have been with Arbor Terrace for years, creating consistency and meaningful relationships with the residents. That kind of stability says a lot about the company and the culture they've built.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Arbor Terrace Senior Living! I actually have a unique perspective because I was one of the very first employees when the community opened back in the 1990s, working as a CNA. Today, I’m a nurse and the Area Director for an in-home care company, and over the years I’ve had the privilege of working alongside the Arbor Terrace team in many different capacities.

What has remained constant through the years is their commitment to providing exceptional care. Their residents are genuinely happy, loved, and treated with dignity and respect. One thing that has always stood out to me is the number of long-term employees. In senior care, that speaks volumes about the culture, leadership, and the relationships they’ve built.

My sister has been living at Arbor Terrace for two years. She moved here from another state to be close to me as her health began to decline. It soon became clear that she could not manage an apartment on her own. Together we began to look at Assisted Living facilities; we both decided that Arbor Terrace was where she needed to be. And were we ever right!
Part of my sister's problem was a tendency to isolate. But at Arbor, she began to make friends and join in activities. When a devastating health problem arose about nine months ago, the Arbor staff walked that dicey road with us. When my sister was able to return after a long hospitalization, the Arbor staff welcomed her back with warmth and sincerity. She truly felt like she was "coming home." Her continued steady improvement is largely due to the caring efforts of the staff and the special services and attention with which they surrounded her. All of us just want to be loved; at Arbor Terrace, my sister is. I could not ask for more. And I am very grateful!

I had a wonderful experience visiting Arbor while helping my parents find a new place to call home. I wanted to take a moment to recognize the nurses and resident assistants at Arbor Terrace here in Knoxville. My father enjoyed every moment of his time with team of family oriented caregivers. We always felt safe with his mental heath care and physical well being. He enjoyed all the activities and made the transition from his home life to a welcoming community of friends and laughter. He did say food was as not as good as Moms. Halloween was his favorite holiday and this year was so memorable for his last holiday with everyone. Thank you to some very dedicated, talented and passionate nurses. We will always be grateful.

Wow,….. my wife and I have such positive feelings and positive experiences with the Arbor Terrace Staff !!!
We’ve been care givers for my Mother in law(Gran) for 5 years. She has dementia and has about 1-2 minutes of short term memory. Repeating same questions over and over. Day after day. It wears you down. We needed a break.
Enter Arbor Terrace!
We arranged for 1 month of respite care so we could get “our batteries “ charged up again.
Tina and Josh handled Gran’s admission and all the staff were so tirelessly kind to our Gran.
We can’t thank all of them enough.
I’m a retired Registered Nurse.
I believe that the care the Arbor Terrace staff give is a gift in their characters. A compassion that cannot be taught.
When my wife and I can no longer maintain our Gran’s care, she will definitely be back at Arbor Terrace.

I cannot recommend Arbor terrace Knoxville highly enough. What truly sets this community apart is the phenomenal staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to residents' well-being are evident in every interaction. Beyond the incredible people, the cleanliness of the facility is always pristine, creating a comfortable and hygienic environment. The overall atmosphere is one of warmth, joy, and respect, making it a truly wonderful place for residents to thrive. There are two individuals, I have worked with a great deal. And I would like for everyone to know how wonderful they truly were. First is miss Tina, she was delightly helpful with all questions as well as giving a tour of the facility and easing our minds. Next is miss Amber who is in charge of maintenance, well she was able to get moms room ready amd help hang her tv. Even though all the employees are very busy they always make time for their residents and their family members with a smile on their face. Choosing Arbor terrace has been one of the best decisions we've made, and I wholeheartedly encourage anyone seeking exceptional care to visit.

We felt comfortable here. I took my mom and dad here for a tour and the property was gorgeous, the people were nice, and I felt the compassion and care. My guide was Josh who did a fantastic job at easing our worries and answering what questions he could. They had singers during our visit and I loved how the music lifted the spirits of the residents and staff. We were impressed by the amount of good activities they had for the residents to do. I can say my parents are impressed and the left with a smile even with this being a difficult time for them.
