Second time having Ramen. First time was okay. Today was my first time @ Kenzo and it was excellent. It was so tasty and filling. Can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu. Continue the excellent food and service.

Kenzo Ramen Spadina is a cozy ramen spot that focuses on comforting Japanese-style bowls in a casual setting. The space is on the smaller side, which gives it a more intimate neighborhood feel rather than a large restaurant atmosphere. It is the type of place that works especially well when you are looking for something warm and satisfying, especially on a colder day when a bowl of ramen feels like the right choice.
The ramen is the main highlight, and the bowls come out flavorful with rich broths and generous portions. The Tonkotsu King stood out for its deeper, savory broth and overall balance with the noodles. The ramen has that comforting quality where the flavors feel familiar but still have enough character to make the meal memorable. There are also plenty of options depending on what you are craving, from richer tonkotsu styles to spicier bowls like the Orochong ramen. The vegetarian options also feel like they are given real attention rather than being an afterthought.
Beyond ramen, the menu has a good variety of Japanese comfort food. The katsu curry is another standout, with a flavorful curry sauce paired well with the crispy katsu. The miso soup and side salad that come alongside add a nice balance to the meal. They also have a bubble tea corner, which is a fun addition and makes it easy to order a drink with your meal without having to go elsewhere.
Service was one of the stronger parts of the experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and kept things moving even when the restaurant was busy. Orders came out quickly, and the overall pacing felt efficient without feeling rushed. The space can get crowded due to the smaller layout, so there may be a wait during peak times, but the quick service helps keep things flowing.
Overall, Kenzo Ramen Spadina is a reliable spot for a comforting bowl of ramen with a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere. The combination of flavorful broth, satisfying portions, friendly service, and a casual setting makes it an easy place to return to when you are craving Japanese comfort food.

Kenzo means authentic and pioneer. This ramen is worthy for its name. They have soup base from different parts of Japan, which are all are tasty. I particularly like their gyoza, which is very chubby with full of great ingredients. A good choice of ramen in this neighborhood.

I have not only been here and ordered from here numerous times, they’ve paid attention to every detail, catered to my food allergies & become a staple of the neighbourhood! I’ve celebrated my birthday here for two years now and they stayed open late to celebrate my partner’s birthday!

I like Japanese culture and Japanese food, but it felt like Soyou ramen that I had eaten in Japan and it was really delicious.

Great food for the price point 👌🏻 definitely try their shoyu ramen and fried dumplings. Unlike other ramen spots, the dumplings here are incredibly juicy, surprisingly good !

Absolutely my favourite ramen place in toronto! I’ve been here multiple times and I only get spicy charsu ramen. However, the first time I went, the meat was so perfectly cooked and then the other two times they were just average. But overall, it tastes extremely good. The only thing is that the environment is not so aesthetic, but still very clean.

Great service! The lady who works there is so sweet! I went here with my family and ordered the katsu curry. Sooo flavourful! The miso and side salad was a nice touch too! They have a bubble tea corner as well so you can get drinks ordered to your table!

whenever i feel like there's no hope in my life and everything is going wrong, i go here and get vegetarian orochong ramen with level 2 spice. it's very yummy, loaded up with lots of vegetables, and exactly the amount of spice i can handle. eating it is a visceral experience. sniffling, coughing, etc. fighting for my life. it takes my mind off of all that ails me. the best part is that despite how spicy it is, it miraculously doesn't cause me any stomach problems after. doesn't hurt on the way out. i suspect that may be because i need to drink multiple litres of water alongside the spicy broth though lol... dilutes the capsaisin and washes my worries away.

The food was absolutely delicious — no complaints at all. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, which made us feel very welcome. The only reason I’m not giving a higher rating is because the place gets extremely hot in the summer. It really felt like an oven inside. I’d strongly recommend investing in air conditioning to make the overall customer experience much more comfortable and enjoyable

One of the best fresh ramen dishes I’ve tasted in Toronto so far! It’s rich, and the taste is unique to Kenzo’s restaurants. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the order arrived at the table in no time. The only downside is that it’s a small space, and there’s sometimes a wait to sit down.

Dined here on New Year’s eve which was super cold and rainy and this warmed us right up. I’ve always been a big fan of Kenzo’s and I’m glad that this location was consistent with the others I’ve been to. Ramen is flavourful and is a good portion size. Shio is a salt-based broth but not salty, just has a nice umami. King of kings ramen is a very big portion and the spice in the soup warms the belly. I’m a fan of the noodle texture here as it’s not too overcooked and I like that they serve bamboo in the ramen as most places don’t do that anymore. We also ordered the pork katsu on the side which was very crispy and not dry at all. The portion for this was also quite generous.

We came to Kenzo Ramen at around mid afternoon on a weekday with no expectations. We were surprised about the fantastic options in the menu. I personally tried the Tonkotsu King and I loved it. However I think the balance of the noodles and everything else is uneven, there was way too many noodles. Regardless I still enjoyed the meal, and will probably try something else to see if the portioning of the other ramens are better. I'm only rating this as 4/5 because the it wasn't a busy time but the server forgot our other order, and we were in a time crunch.
