My daughter has been attending FBS Beach Camp for years, and it has been an incredible experience every single summer. The staff and counselors are the best...not only professional and organized, but truly caring and invested in the kids. They create such a fun, safe, and positive environment. Some of the counselors have even become our regular babysitters, which says so much about the trust and connection they build with the families. It’s clear they genuinely love our children, and that makes all the difference.

I've researched many summer beach camps in the Los Angeles area, and this camp is by far the safest beach camp I have come across. I have literally sat and watched how they rotate their counselors into the ocean while maintaining their promised 6:1 (camper to staff ratios). There are layers of protection when the kids are in the ocean. You have the staff surrounding the kids in their red rash guards, certified lifeguards observing on the shoreline and they even have another person who just patrols the ocean overseeing the whole operation. I definitely feel good getting back in my car knowing that Fitness by the Sea is going to keep my children safe! Thank you for providing an amazing camp in the area for the past 26 years; we will be coming back for many more!

Our family has gone to FBS on and off for years. My kids absolutely love it. It's what summer should be - on the beach all day meeting and playing with new friends, getting sandy, dirty and tired and then getting a great sleep after a long full day of fun. Even the bus rides to and from camp were a time to bond w friends. I know safety is of utmost importance for them and that makes me feel better about sending them out for camp play in the ocean. They're always getting sun-blocked and are generally just taken care of so well. Lastly, one of the best aspects is how easy FBS make it to sign up. FBS is accommodating and flexible w parents' scheds and needs. FBS just makes summer an easy breezy experience for everyone!

My 9-year-old is a reserved child and was pretty nervous about starting camp at Fitness by the Sea. I’m happy to say she absolutely loved it. The counselors took the time to really get to know her, which made a huge difference, and she ended up having a blast. They did an excellent job making sure all the kids were safe, engaged, and having fun at the beach, and somehow she was out there all day with zero sunburns. I would highly recommend Fitness by the Sea for any child.

This is one of the great things about living here: FBS beach camp! This is my daughter's second year and she is already looking forward to next year. We love the scheduling flexibility, the ultra-caution regarding sunscreen and hydration, all the fun activities and the high energy counselors who are having as much fun as the kids. We feel so grateful to live in a place where a camp like this exists!
