Absolutely horribly slow "fast" food place. 3 times I've gone here and each time have waited upwards of 25 minutes for food that arrives cold consistently. Today was the icing on the cake though -- I guess this is the ONLY McDonalds location in Canada that does their changeover from breakfast to lunch at 10:30 am instead of 11. We arrived at 10:32 to sit in the drivethrough for over 10 minutes before even placing our order only to be told they only offered hotcakes, burritos and BLTs after 10:30. After saying no, we were forced to sit in the drivethrough for an additional 10 minutes while the 4 cars in front of us (we noticed the one directly in front also did not order anything) waited to get through. When I went inside to complain to the manager, I was joined by a woman who was also in the drivethrough who got frozen hotcakes given to her. The manager offered to replace her hotcakes "free of charge" -- pardon me but she already paid for HOTcakes, so I should expect they would be absolutely free of charge. The manager told us that they do their change-over earlier than other locations, and when I suggested they have signage indicating that, she said she would ask.
When I go to McDonalds (which thankfully isn't often, and while subsequently be even less after today) my expectations aren't high, but they are to be served in a timely manner and that they adhere to the same policies that I expect at other locations, not an arbitrary change in breakfast hours just to be unique. Would not recommend to anyone.
