I placed a pickup order through DoorDash at 10:06 p.m. for a Smashburger and a Creamy Slush. The app estimated my order would be ready by 10:22 p.m., so I headed to the Sonic on Commercial Boulevard in Lauderhill.

I arrived around 10:17 p.m. There were about three cars ahead of me, but the drive-thru line was moving surprisingly fast. When I reached the speaker, I told the employee I was there to pick up a DoorDash order. Without asking for my name or any order information, I was simply told to pull up to the window.

Once I got to the window, things completely stalled. I waited six full minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. I even tapped my horn, but no one came to the window. It wasn't until another vehicle pulled in behind me that an employee finally came over and asked for the name on the order.

After giving my name, I watched the employee walk away, continue chatting with a coworker for another couple of minutes, and then pick up the same bag that had already been sitting there the entire time. When I checked my receipt after leaving, I noticed my order had actually been completed at 10:13 p.m.—four minutes before I even arrived. That means the food was already prepared, and the delay was simply due to a lack of attention and communication.

The food itself was fine, but the service left a lot to be desired. A simple acknowledgment or asking for my name at the speaker would have prevented an unnecessary wait. Hopefully the team can improve their communication and pay closer attention to customers at the pickup window.

This was my first time going to Sonic, and my experience was a bit mixed. I placed a mobile order and went through the drive-thru to pick it up. When the employee first spoke, I couldn’t hear what he said, so I asked him to repeat it. The way he responded came off a bit condescending, which made me feel uncomfortable.

However, when I got to the window, the same employee was actually very nice and even complimented my nails, which was unexpected but, appreciated. That interaction definitely helped improve the experience.

Overall, I think communication at the speaker could be better, especially since it’s hard to hear sometimes and I’m not the only one who said it.

Ordered Doordash, delivery was excellent. Food was absolutely disgusting! My burger was bathed in mayonnaise to the point that you couldn't see the meat (at least a cup). I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope this place goes out of business.

I stopped by for my lunch to pick up something to eat on the go and I came across sonic. I haven't been to a sonics in a long time, but man. Do they have the best drinks ever!!! I'm going to start coming here a little bit more often drink selections that they have, that burgers are pretty good.And right now , you can get a great lunch special. They have the best fries ever!!! Really wish they sold queso with it.

With all these reviews, this place should be shut down. 2 weeks ago, my daughter wanted Chick Fila, but they are closed, so we decided for Sonics, a huge mistake.

We bought a chicken sandwich for my 10 year old daughter. She was not paying attention, and she tends to talk a lot, so she did not realize until she ate more than half. When she went to share, we realized it was raw.

The cheeseburger was gross. The garlic cheeseburger was good.

I texted the 866 # on the receipt. All they did was just apologize. And my daughter was sick the next day vomiting and aches for a few days.
