She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry, where she also completed a micro-credential in cornea and contact lens. During optometry school, Dr. Lin was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and received the Gas Permeable Lens Institute Clinical Excellence Award for Outstanding Clinical Proficiency in Contact Lenses and the Dr. William M. Eisenberg Memorial Award for Excellence in Ocular Disease. She went on to complete a residency in ocular disease and cornea/contact lens at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School. During her residency, she gained experience in complex specialty contact lens fittings. Her residency training also included rotations in multiple ophthalmology sub-specialty clinics such as neuro-ophthalmology, cornea, trauma, and oculoplastics.
