We used Bob Garrett Services this past Holiday weekend. On a federal holiday (Columbus Day) our hot water heater went out. We called Bob Garrett Services who dispatched a plumber immediately, this of course after several failed attempts with local companies in the Staunton, VA area. I can not say enough about the dedication to his trade and the professionalism of our Plumber, Lawrence Hancock. Lawrence drove from nearly 2 hours away to meet our needs. He also had to source a hot water heater locally due to compatibility issues with the hot water heater he brought with him - and drove an hour each way to secure it for us. he stayed late into the evening completing this install and took the old one with him when he left. This service was exemplary and we will absolutely use them again if they're willing to again make the trip for us. Thank you!

Jonathan and David installed my new air-conditioning system, heat pump, air handler, and thermostat today. They arrived exactly on time and worked all day in the heat in the attic and even skipped lunch. They were cheerful, obviously happy in their work, clean and professional. They laid down tarps and cleaned up after the job was completed. I have another air-conditioning unit, air handler, forced gas, air, furnace, and downstairs thermostat to install. I will definitely call these two guys from Bob Garrett Services to do the job. Extremely satisfied!

We had been having issues with being able to fill up our jetted tub without running out of hot water and also taking more than 2 showers back-to-back. I was also having to drain the water heater about once a year and replace the bottom element as our house did not have a softener when we moved in, so it had a lot of calcium carbonate in the bottom. I called Bob Garret Services for an estimate about a new hot water heater with a mixing valve. Never knew that a mixing valve can increase your hot water volume by over 50%. Lawrence Hancock came over, checked everything out, and gave me a quote. He was very detailed in explaining things and low-pressure (no pun intended), and obviously very intelligent. Even though the cost was a bit surprising, I decided to go for it as this was the best water heater on the market. Lawrence came over the next day with new water heater, mixing valve, and thermal expansion tank (needed for to prevent pressure buildup in closed plumbing system and protect the well pump). He got everything installed, not to mention re-plumbing a few questionable joints on my water softener, anchoring some existing copper pipes to the block wall, both at no extra charge.

Here's the kicker...not only can my wife use her jacuzzi now, but we have increased water pressure AND our 2-year-old water softener is working MUCH better.
I'm extremely satisfied with Bob Garrett Service, not to mention with Lawrence especially. Great job guys. One less thing to worry about now.

The Bob Garrett Services team of James Harmeling and his colleague Chris installed a Generac generator and necessary components at our house yesterday. They did an outstanding job in every respect!! James did all of the outside/inside electrical work, and Chris did the propane tanks and gas line hook ups. Their professionalism, courteous demeanor, and attention to detail was superb. Both gentlemen took time to thoroughly answer all of our questions throughout the long work day. James and Chris went above and beyond to ensure our total satisfaction! I most highly recommend BGS to anyone requiring an excellent backup generator.

This was an amazing experience. Our heat pump stopped working (it was old and expected). They sent a person out (Shaun Scott) on short notice to review options. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions so we could make the best decision for us. Our installation was done by David and Henry. They are true craftsman who care about doing a good job. Whatever was a challenge in the installation they worked to get the perfect solution. They were careful to keep everything organized and they cleaned everything as they went. Everyone we dealt with went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this company
