The food was very good and also the service was fast and the service was pleasant. However, we were made to feel very rushed.

The side plates for bread were taken away prior to the bread being finished. The moment my friend finished her meal, I was still eating, her plate was removed. Mine was removed immediatley upon finishing, this is fine if not done in a way that makes you feel rushed. As mentioned our side plates and utensils were gone and we still had our bread to finish. Thank goodness the butter knife was still on the bread plate.

We ordered coffee and a refill. My friend took her last sip and, whip, her cup was taken. It was unpleasant.

The food is not cheap and I feel that this was not necessary.

We may go back if there is a special, dine around Victoria as an example, and be prepared for this. We will not let them rush us.

we were three older people looking for a warm, quiet environment where we could chat. We found it all here and more: the food was good and the service unassuming, polite and efficient. Thoroughly recommended.
