A.J. ( the foreman) was on-site a few days before work was to start. He went through on the what to expect. I expressed my concerns which he took seriously and a solution was worked out. The workmanship was exceptional and the roof and gutters look fantastic. I would highly recommend this company for your home exterior needs.

We have now worked with ACME Exteriors on a second major project: replacing the roof on our home. Once again, the entire team was professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and wonderful to work with. This was a significant project that included removing the existing roofing, inspecting the roof decking, installing new protective materials, replacing flashing, and completing important ventilation updates.

ACME was especially careful about the weather throughout the project. Because the work required a dependable stretch of clear weather, storms in the forecast occasionally affected the schedule. The team consistently communicated with us in advance, explained how the weather might affect progress, and kept us informed about when work could safely resume. We appreciated that they prioritized completing the project properly and protecting our home rather than rushing to meet an arbitrary timeline.

Communication remained strong throughout the entire process, and we always felt comfortable asking questions and discussing the work. A special thank-you goes to Dan, the owner; Adam, our exterior advisory; DJ, our project manager; and all of the ACME team members who helped plan, coordinate, and complete the work on our home. Everyone contributed to making a large and potentially stressful project feel organized and manageable.

The finished roof looks fantastic, the property was thoroughly cleaned afterward, and we have tremendous peace of mind knowing the work was completed carefully and properly. I’ve added several photos showing the progress and finished result. We were thrilled to work with ACME Exteriors on repairs for bathroom window. While updating our tub and shower, we found additional water damages. The ACME team was understanding, professional, responsive, and clearly took pride in making sure everything was repaired properly after we discovered the damage. The finished result looks great, and now we have tremendous peace of mind that our project is complete and will last us for a long time. I’ve included photos of the work. Thank you ACME Exteriors! In March, a tree fell on my house and seriously damaged my roof. I had no idea where to begin, so I drove to SRS Building Products and asked if they could recommend a trustworthy roofing contractor. They immediately recommended DJ at ACME Home Exteriors—and now I understand why.

DJ connected me with Nick, who was absolutely amazing throughout the entire insurance process. Every time my insurance company sent someone to inspect the damage, Nick made time to be there. He explained everything clearly, answered my questions, and worked hard to help me receive a proper repair.

My insurance company wanted to replace only the 88 shingles they considered damaged. ACME recommended a full roof replacement to restore my home to its pre-loss condition. They explained that removing and replacing individual shingles on an older roof could compromise the seals on the surrounding shingles and create future problems with leaks, exposed nail areas, condensation, and Michigan’s repeated freezing-and-thawing cycles.

DJ eventually called and honestly explained that ACME could not guarantee the limited repair my insurance company wanted to approve. They were not willing to perform work they believed could leak or fail in the future simply to collect a check. That kind of honesty and integrity is extremely rare.

ACME also provided me with an estimate for the full replacement, and their price was lower than estimates from other roofing companies that advertise on Facebook as having the lowest prices. They were not only honest and knowledgeable—they were also extremely competitive.

Even though ACME and my insurance company could not agree on the proper scope of repairs, Nick spent a great deal of time attending inspections, answering questions, documenting the damage, and advocating for a full replacement that would restore my roof to its pre-loss condition.

A company’s character isn’t only shown by the jobs it accepts—it is also shown by the work it refuses to perform when it cannot confidently stand behind it. I would absolutely recommend DJ, Nick, and ACME Home Exteriors to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, dependable, fairly priced, and honest roofing contractor.

Summary: Great experience from beginning to end, loved working with them. Communicated very well and follow up with you.

Made a call to Acme and the following week Nick came out to discuss replacing my roof. It was a terrific experience from beginning to end. The first time Nick came out, he took pictures and we talked about what I wanted done. He was very thorough and I mentioned replacing gutters but after he took a look he said there was no need. I mentioned some of my siding was popping off and he took the time to fix it real quick where I couldn’t reach.

Soon after that, Nick sent over the quote with 3 options, and after I selected my option he came back over to the home a couple days later to look at colors and finalize everything.

DJ called me soon after to set up a time for the work to be done. DJ is amazing to work with too. During our call he answered all my questions and said if I ever need anything, to call or text. He also kept me updated very well for when the roofing supplies would be delivered.

DJ arrived right on time the day of install and we talked again about what to expect. They put tarps down to catch debris and put plywood along the house where they were working to protect it. All the workers were careful and knew what they were doing. Someone was always picking up stuff and going over areas to pick up loose nails and such. When they were done, you wouldn’t even know they were there besides seeing the new roof.

Later that day I texted DJ a couple times about some things and he was happy to talk about them and he educated me on why they did what they did.

10/10 experience.

Highly recommend Acme Home Exteriors . From the initial consultation with Nick Kissane in Sales , to the roof installers, to the final cleanup the team was professional , efficient and thorough. Crew was very respectful of property and the clean up was top notch. Next came the gutter installation crew a couple days later as there was rain to contend with. Communication was great, workers were all very courtesy. New storm door was also installed and again the installer was efficient and pleasant. The roof, gutters, and door look fantastic! Thank you!!!
