I got in contact about a problem with my patio sliding door, which has been considerably slowing down over the last few weeks. Every time it moved, especially close to the middle of the track, there was a noticeable drag even though it wasn't totally stuck. Before disassembling anything, the technician concentrated on seeing how the door moved when he got there.

Upon closer examination, he noted that the track itself required cleaning and that the rollers were still functional but had accumulation surrounding them. on order to make it sit better on the track, he took off the door, cleaned the debris, and made a few minor tweaks. The movement seemed much more constant from beginning to end when everything was rearranged. I used to notice inconsistent resistance, but now it's smooth.

Even when my apartment's sliding door was closed, there was a perceptible airflow since it was no longer shutting flush. To get the door to sit correctly in the track once more, the technician modified the frame and examined the alignment. Following the repair, the door seals firmly and stops allowing air to pass through.
