He majored in biology at Cornell University and earned his medical degree from New York University. After completing his Internal Medicine residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, he spent a year working at Brown’s community hospital affiliate, The Miriam Hospital, in Providence, Rhode Island. He then returned to New York and spent 18 years as a perioperative internist at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), where he served as medical co-director of the Physician Assistant department and was co-chair of the Multidisciplinary Peer Review committee. Now at Weill Cornell, he is gratified to assume a role that allows him greater opportunity to develop long-term relationships with his patients, so that he can focus on wellness across the lifespan and substantive health optimization.
