Asher was great. Came in knowing exactly what I wanted and he followed every instruction without trying to change it up on me. He also threw in some suggestions that actually made the cut better. Dude knows what he's doing. One of the best haircuts I've had in a while.

Retro barbershop with a laid-back vibe. Always enjoy going to see Kenny. Fun to talk to and knows how to cut my hair. The fact that Rocky the Bulldog roams the waiting area and is available for petting is an added bonus.

Asher is an absolute master with the clippers and a true professional. I recently took my son in for cuts, and we both walked out looking and feeling fantastic.

My fade was impeccable—razor-sharp, seamless, and exactly what I asked for. His beard work is equally top-notch; he trimmed and shaped it with a real artist's eye. Beyond the technical skill, what sets Asher apart is his atmosphere. He’s genuinely professional, maintains a clean work area and has a great rapport. He kept the conversation engaging and appropriate for both me and my son, which made the visit enjoyable for us both.

Best barber around. Moved from California not knowing where to go or who to go to, and stumbled upon this gem since I live in point breeze - 5 minute drive. Curtis is the best and consistently enjoy getting my hair cut. Appointment only setup works out great with no wait and in-out service. Freaking fantastic

The best. The barbers - in my case Ken - are excellent and friendly. And the space is fun and relaxing. And they are building out with art, album covers, guitars, memorabilia and more. And giving back to the community with art spaces and other community facing events/spaces. They now have walk-ins!

(UPDATE) they took care of my issue so quickly after I posted this review, I will be sure to stop by soon. Regardless of me not being able to get my haircut on Monday, I will still be picking this barber shop everytime over any other place

I've been going here since I moved to Pittsburgh and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately on Monday my experience was wasn't the best, I had an art show to go to that night and wanted to look nice for it, I showed up to my 11:30 appointment and all the lights were off, I waited for about 15 minutes to see if someone stepped out to grab something and no one showed up except for other people that had appointments

I’ve been going to Asher at McGuinn’s Barbershop on Murray Avenue for a little while now, and this guy is seriously talented. He’s young, but he cuts hair and trims beards like someone who’s been doing it for decades. Every time I sit in his chair, I walk out feeling like I’m looking better than I have in a long time.

The rest of the shop deserves credit too. From what I’ve seen, every barber there knows what they’re doing and takes pride in their work. It’s just an all-around great place with a good atmosphere.

McGuinn’s is the kind of barbershop you stick with once you find it. If you’re in Squirrel Hill or anywhere near Pittsburgh, I highly recommend it. You really can’t go wrong with Asher or anyone in that shop.

I’ve been coming to this barbershop for a while now, and it’s easily one of the best around. The atmosphere is always welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the service is top-notch. They really take their time to make sure you leave looking your best.

I personally recommend Alisha — she’s fantastic! Super skilled, detail-oriented, and always makes sure you get exactly the cut or style you want. If you’re looking for a great haircut and a great experience, this is definitely the place to go.
