She then attended Harvard Medical School and was awarded her M.D. degree in 2006.Dr. Chiang did a transitional internship year at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA, before completing a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center (UCSF). While at UCSF, she received an NIH/NIBIB Clinician-Scientist in Biomedical Imaging T32 training grant and the award for Best Oral Paper at the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR) annual meeting in 2012. She was recruited to join the Weill Cornell Medicine radiology faculty in August 2012.Dr. Chiang's clinical expertise is in Neuroradiology. She interprets a variety of neuroradiologic studies (MRI, CT, PET) involving the brain, spine, and head/neck, and performs interventional procedures, including fluoroscopic and CT-guided lumbar punctures and myelograms.Dr. Chiang has an active research program, focused on quantitative, multimodal MR and PET imaging of neurodegenerative diseases. In the Department of Radiology, she serves as Vice Chair of Clinical and Translational Research and Director of the Brain Health Imaging Institute. She is a Principal Investigator on multiple R01 and U01 NIH grants and has chaired and co-chaired NIH scientific review panels.
