In April Don helped me find and secure a beautiful Halifax rental apartment (I was doing it remotely from Spain, no easy feat) and today he closed my deal on a stunning cottage on Sherbrooke Lake. Fantastic!

We had such a great experience working with Jamie @ The McCooeye Group! We met Jamie through our kids as they go to daycare together, and when it came time to buy a home, she was always in our corner. We cant forget Don because he also joined in on some calls and meetings. It was so helpful have two people on your file vs one, knowing someone could always show up for viewings, etc.

From day one, she made the entire process feel so much less overwhelming. She took the time to explain everything along the way, answered every question we had, and was always just a text or phone call away. Seriously, her response time was incredible — she would get back to us within minutes every time.

What we appreciated most was how much she listened to what we wanted and worked hard to help us find the right fit. She helped us get into a family orientated subdivision, which we absolutely love, and we couldn't be happier with our new home and neighborhood.

Throughout the whole process, she was knowledgeable, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely cared about making sure we felt comfortable and informed. We always felt like we were in good hands. (and definitely helped with my anxious levels)

How do you summarize perfection in one short review? Real estate has always seemed so ridiculously formal. Why can't buying a house be fun?! Jamie and Don made me feel like a new friend, and like we were having a blast checking out potential new homes together.

I asked not to be "sold" a house. I asked to be pointed out the negatives of a home and to teach me the complexities of a home system. Jamie and Don did exactly this. They are knowledgeable, approachable, honest, relatable, firm with serious conversations, know when to have fun and laugh, but also know when to get serious.

Jamie and Don have lots of fantastic connections that make the ease of purchasing a home with many systems seamless. I worked most closely with Jamie, and she already sent required documents to the required recipients before I could even check my email. SO efficient!!

They have a great team where if one can't make a meeting or showing, the other will be there. this DOUBLES your knowledge and their availability for convenience.

Honestly, I have ZERO negatives to comment on about this team. They have been a DREAM to work with!!

Don and Jamie sold the house we bought in Enfield, NS. They were professional, straightforward, and easy to work with. Even after the closing, there was an issue with the HVAC, and Don paid out of pocket to have this fixed. They are a wonderful team, and anyone looking to buy or sell in Halifax or East Hants needs to call them - 10/10 would recommend!"

Selling your home and moving across the country is never an easy feet but when you have a great realtor it takes alot of the pressure off!
Don and Jamie sold our home in a very rapidly changing market of 2025 (in Enfield). They were able to help us make quick decisions to help stay ahead of the market trends to get our very unique home sold.
During the process we relocated out of province, Don and Jamie were so great with understanding this transition and time difference, jumping on calls or by message at all hours. They also were on the ball with helping us coordinate services we might need (lawn / snow removal). Don has a great network of really incredible people for any possible need that may arise when selling your home.
Don and Jamie were such a pleasure to work with, I could not recommend them enough. If our journey ever takes us back to Nova Scotia they will be one of our first calls!
