He opened up a billiards room and built the business on quality pool tables, great food and service. In 1954 the business moved to Etobicoke where his son, Bill Pappas owned and operated Kingsway Billiards very successfully for 40 years. In 1992, the third generation of the Pappas family, Sam and his wife Tracey, continued the tradition by opening the first Crooked Cue.
