The Midtown Tavern was established in 1949 and it still runs strong today. Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Right next to the Metro Center!

I Stopped in on the Midtown for a Pint while in Halifax last week. The Midtown is a classic pub with a friendly crowd. The kind of place where "everybody knows your name". As a guy from out of town, on business and alone, I was easily able to strike up a good conversation with the local regulars.
I loved the classic change belts on the servers. Old school for sure - see pic!. Beer was great and unfortunately was not able to stick around for the food. Next time.

I'm Rob Tanner, I'm here at the Midtown Tanner in sunny Halifax. I'm just recalling years ago when I was the third bar tender as a college student hired by Doug Grant back in the late 70s, early 80s. And I'm still only 37 years of age. I look pretty good for that. I would give this place four and a half to five stars. It all depends how good the steak is up here to eat it.
