This is way overdue, but we really wanted to let the world know how GREAT Shelly is! We have worked with her 3 times over the past 13 years. She helped us buy our very first home in the Sacramento/Rancho Cordova area back in 2013. Recently she helped us sell it and purchase our 2nd home in Grass Valley (at the same time--which was stressful, but she helped us stay calm and in control!). We are grateful for her assistance as we definitely couldn't have done it without her. When it was time to sell we knew there was no one else we would consider calling, but her. She is like family to us and we trust her implicitly to always be completely upfront and keep it real. We are a busy family with kids, dogs and work full time so we don't want to deal with a pushy person, or someone who doesn't always put our needs first. She has been awesome with keeping us in the loop and always communicating everything she knew. She advised us on different possibilities so we could feel confident about the decisions we made. Her recommendations were always spot on! We felt like she truly heard us and paid attention to what we wanted/needed. We feel like our Grass Valley home is our forever home, so we likely won't need to use her again, but we wouldn't hesitate to use her again and also to recommend her every chance we get. We are truly grateful that she is always here for us whenever we need it. She even has great local connections too, both in Nevada County and Sac County too. My wife and I are first time home buyers from Sacramento. We decided we wanted to raise our children in a rural area that is better suited to a safe, easier-paced lifestyle without all the city insanity, so we began looking at houses and honestly all of it was really intimidating as a first time buyer. Shelly introduced us to the Grass Valley area and we fell in love with it, and with her. She listened to what we wanted and helped us get it. We had a couple stumbling blocks along the way, but she was able to guide us through them all with professionalism. I admit it was touch scary at times (I’m not gonna lie committing to a 30 yr mortgage feels crazy, right?!), but with her gentle guidance and many years of experience, we were able to make our dream of owning our very first home a reality in the Alta Sierra community of Grass Valley. We even have decent homeowners insurance. Our kids are truly thriving in the local schools (way better than the Sacto area) and we LOVE living here! She is a GREAT realtor! I picked Shelly for my move to Penn Valley, CA due to her excellent reviews, and she did not disappoint! I was living in temporary housing that was a couple hours away from Penn Valley, so I wanted to get the house hunting done as efficiently as possible. Shelly listened to what I was looking for, sent me listings with all her recommendations based on our conversations, and answered all the questions I had. We set up a day to look, and I found my dream home in the first round! Shelly made the entire process so easy, leading me through all the steps, getting me a wonderful mortgage broker, arranging the inspections and workers coming to look at things. We closed right on schedule, and when I drove up for the first time to my new home, she had left a beautiful assortment of essentials for me....paper plates, cups, utensils, water, paper towels, hand towels, cleaning supplies, and even wine to celebrate. It was amazing and very appreciated. I would highly recommend Shelly and would definitely use her again as my realtor should I ever decide to move again.

We had a fantastic experience with Shelly throughout our home-buying process. We had a lot of questions as a first time home buyer and she was clear and responsive at every step.
She stayed on top of inspections and negotiations and consistently gave us honest advice about each home we toured, including what to watch for during walkthroughs and inspections.

To sum up everything Shelly has done for my spouse and me, and all the support she’s provided us—and continues to—throughout this process is no easy feat.

This was our first experience with any realtor, and we’ve been absolutely blessed to have Shelly to walk us through buying our first home. Besides our lack of experience and unfamiliarity with the Sacramento area, we had a somewhat tricky job transfer situation to work with, plus multiple buyers interested in our first choice home. I really believe we wouldn’t have been able to close on that home without her! She took the entire sticky situation and turned it into a seamless process for us.

Despite her vast experience, she approached every neophyte question and uncertainty of ours with enthusiasm. Given that we’re new to the area, her local’s perspective was invaluable. She even took the time to drive us around to show us the highlights of our prospective neighborhoods, and give recommendations for shopping, dining etc.

One of the things we’ve valued most is her honesty and authenticity. She never unnecessarily sugar-coated anything or put on any kind of salesperson airs. We felt we could truly speak to her as an individual, all the while giving our honest opinions, and would get her honest perspective in return. Besides that, we’ve just had a great time hanging out with her!

Another invaluable element she brings is her network of stellar contractors, painters, plumbers etc. as well as our amazing loan officer, Anne with Xpert Home Lending. We’ve been able to take care of all the repairs and updates our home needed without ever worrying about shopping around for the right people; they’ve all delivered spectacularly. She even coordinated our painting, pest treatment, general contractor, plus housekeeping, to make sure everything was repaired and freshly cleaned before we moved in.

As I said, we have no reference for where the duties of a realtor begin and end, but we know Shelly has gone completely above and beyond, checking in regularly to see how we’ve been feeling or what needed doing next, and genuinely treating us and our fur-children like family. To say we’re grateful is a gross understatement.

She’ll have loyal clients (and friends) for as long as she wants to stay in business!

Shelly is a truly knowledgeable and resourceful realtor who exhibited her innovative and industrious spirit frequently as we worked together to get one house ready to sell and then sold followed by finding the 2nd house for me to buy. Shelly was instrumental in suggesting I make the updates to the 1st home that she felt were necessary to sell my home in a difficult economy and in a location needing additional fire insurance. By following her lead in using inventive ways to market my home, I was blessed to receive a cash offer on the first weekend the home was listed which was higher than the list price that I initially thought was too high and would never receive an offer with.
