I don’t usually write detailed reviews, but after this experience, I feel it’s important to share.

I purchased a new Thor Kitchen electric range for over $2,000, and it was defective from the very first use. What followed was an extremely long and frustrating process that lasted over four months and involved approximately 40 emails back and forth with customer support.

During this time, there were repeated delays, incorrect parts shipped, and no clear or reliable timeline provided. At one point, the wrong component was sent entirely, which extended the delay even further. I had to constantly follow up just to keep the case moving.

To be fair, once the issue was escalated to management, things finally started to move. The correct parts were shipped, and the repair was eventually completed. The appliance is now working.

However, needing four months and dozens of emails to resolve a defect in a brand-new appliance is not acceptable—especially at this price point. This level of after-sales support does not match the expectations for a company in this category.

I appreciate the efforts made toward the end of the process, but the overall experience was unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming.

I hope Thor Kitchen takes this feedback seriously and improves its service coordination, communication, and response times. No customer should have to go through this much effort just to have a functional product.

I would also welcome any follow-up from the company regarding this experience.

We haven’t installed our stove and fridge yet but the customer service has been so friendly, and kind.
I did buy a dishwasher for my daughter and she loves it, it’s very quiet and dishes were sparkling.

Poor quality & disappointing customer service: Customer satisfaction is NOT a top priority, although the response to every review stated just that. After experiencing major discoloration on the cooktop, I contacted customer service and they stated there was nothing they could do. I had cooked on the stove for less than a year, and although I used the cleaning product they recommended, the black cooktop is splotchy and discolored, and continued to get worse and worse.

Disappointed with Durability and Service

I purchased a full kitchen package from Thor Appliances, including a refrigerator and stove. While the appliances look very nice aesthetically, the durability has been extremely disappointing.

In less than two years, the stove has required service twice. Now the oven is completely not working. For an appliance at this price point, this is unacceptable. We paid around $5,000 for the stove, and it should last much longer without constant issues.

My husband spent over an hour trying to get help, and in the end, we were basically told nothing helpful. The customer service experience was just as frustrating as the product itself.

If you’re buying appliances strictly for looks, Thor may be fine. But if you care about reliability, durability, and support, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere—especially since these appliances are not cheap.

Boo. Have a few Thor appliances and they’re generally pretty darned good - and the price was decent. Pretty happy until just recently where the knob on my gas range broke. Ordered a new one from Thor at the beginning of September but I never received it. so I called in and asked them to send another one as I imagine it was lost in the mail. When I finally received the replacement a full eight weeks after my initial order, it turns out it’s the wrong part. OK mistakes happen, but I was explicit in giving them the range model number. Then when I called in today and told him of the problem, I was told that the part they sent me was the newer upgraded one, but it wasn’t compatible with the burner tube on my older range. My range is nine years old. That’s not old. Here’s the surprising bit. They told me that they didn’t have any spare parts for my range, nor were they prepared to search them out. I searched and googled and chatted and found the part from here in Canada in less than five minutes. Why couldn’t Thor have done that? Oh, and on top of that they charged me $50 in shipping for an item that was in a 2“ x 2“ x 2“ box. Anyways, pretty happy with the appliances generally, but zero out of 10 for customer service.

We did a complete kitchen reno and chose all Thor appliance…They look terrific, and the wine cooler added a nice high-end look. It holds so many beverages, and the dual zones make it great to keep both wines, beers and other beverages at the right temp. The stainless quality is very good and is easy to keep clean. Love it.

Back in February, we had our kitchen remodeled and chose all Thor appliances. We don’t regret this at all! The appliances are easy to clean and take care of. The quality of the appliances are top notch! I would highly recommend Thor!
