I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company and would never use them again.

I booked a dryer repair appointment in the morning because the issue was urgent. The appointment window I was given, both verbally and in text messages from the company, was clearly between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Because of this, I rearranged my day and even canceled work so I could be available.

At 1:57 PM, while I was in the shower, the technician apparently showed up. I only found out because my children told me someone had come to the door and I later noticed a missed call. When I called the number back, the technician did not answer. I then had to call the company myself to verify whether it was actually their technician.

To make matters worse, the company initially seemed unaware of what had happened and said they would contact the technician. They later confirmed it was him and claimed that nobody answered the door. I explained that my appointment was not scheduled for 1:57 PM—it was scheduled for 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, exactly as confirmed by their own texts and conversations.

By around 2:15 PM, I told the company that if they wanted to change the appointment time, the technician could come back immediately. Instead of honoring my scheduled appointment, they called back and informed me that the technician was no longer available and that they would either try to find someone else or rebook me for Monday.

This makes absolutely no sense. How can a company effectively cancel a customer's appointment before the actual appointment window even begins, simply because a technician decided to arrive over an hour early without prior notice? The agreed service window had not even started yet.

As a result, I never received any service. I lost a day of work, wasted hours waiting, and was left with a broken dryer. The final message I received came at 3:07 PM—right in the middle of my original appointment window—at which point it was too late to find another repair company before Monday.

This company demonstrated poor communication, disorganization, and a complete lack of professionalism. Their scheduling system is unreliable, their internal communication appears chaotic, and they showed no respect for my time or the appointment they themselves scheduled. I felt completely misled and betrayed by the way this situation was handled. I would not trust this company with any future repair work and cannot recommend them to anyone.

My repair man was absolutely all I could want. He was very polite and had a good sense of humour. Got everything taken care of quickly, and gave me several options with what to do going forward. He was precise in explaining everything

Leon Black attended my home on December 9th to service my Jenn-Air gas stove. I had called approximately 15 other businesses before I connected with FixMeAppliances.

Leon provided a precise window for when he would arrive to service my oven. Leon was punctual, and was able to make the necessary repair in a timely manner.
