Psychoeducation was a very well made and beneficial course! From the way alcohol went from a accidental find to on the shelves of every home and store. This course showed me the different studies for drinkers and non drinkers and how it affects our health on the day to day. They taught me in a very sometimes heart wrenching story from the victims of drunk driving accidents to the pain it caused the driver and how it significantly changed their life! The presentation and way of teaching was engaging and informative! Things I already knew were shown to me in a different light! I am now 5 months sober and this course definitely reinforces my decision!

The Psyvo DWI Psychoeducation Course provided a structured and informative approach to understanding impaired driving and the broader impact of substance use on decision-making and public safety. One of the most valuable aspects of the course was how it went beyond just explaining legal consequences and instead focused on the psychological, behavioral, and social factors that contribute to driving while intoxicated.

Throughout the course, I learned how alcohol and other substances directly impair cognitive functioning, slow reaction time, and affect judgment. This helped me realize that impairment is not something you can fully control or predict, even if you feel “okay” to drive. It challenged my previous assumptions about tolerance and made it clear that any level of impairment can put myself and others at serious risk.

A major takeaway for me was the importance of personal accountability. The course encouraged me to reflect on my own decision-making and recognize how easily poor choices can happen in certain situations. Seeing real-life examples and consequences made the risks feel more real and reinforced how one decision can have lasting effects not only on my life but also on innocent people and families.

Based on what I learned, I will be making intentional changes to my behavior moving forward. First, I will no longer drive after consuming any amount of alcohol, regardless of how I feel. I understand now that it is not worth the risk. Second, I will plan ahead anytime I am in a situation where alcohol may be involved by arranging a designated driver, using rideshare services, or ensuring I have a safe way home before going out. Third, I will be more mindful of my environment and avoid situations where I may feel pressured to make unsafe decisions. I will also hold myself accountable by setting clear personal boundaries around substance use and driving.

In addition, I will be more aware of how my choices can influence others. I will encourage friends and those around me to make safer decisions and speak up if I see someone considering driving while impaired. This course helped me understand that responsibility extends beyond just my own actions.

Overall, the Psyvo DWI Psychoeducation Course was impactful in increasing my awareness, strengthening my sense of responsibility, and motivating real behavioral change. It was not just informational, but also personally reflective and practical. I am leaving the course with a clearer understanding of the risks and a commitment to making safer, more responsible decisions in the future.

During my experience in the program I am more informed of the affects that alcohol can have on decision making which can in turn have severe ramifications on myself and possibly others. It can cause you to make decisions that you would not make in a sound sober state of mind. I have a much better understanding of the legal ramifications of drinking and driving also. Things such as losing my privilege to drive, the financial strain this can cause and the impact on others such as someone being severely hurt or even losing their life due to a bad decision. I feel much better equipped receiving the tools and knowledge that the program provides and a better understanding of the consequences and reproductions of being impaired and driving. There's tools such as ride share, having a designated driver or even abstaining if there's no alternative to being safe. I believe the course was presented in a respectful and easy to understand way due to the shared experiences from the courses I've taken and the shared experiences from the group that I attended. Some of the stories were very similar to mine in which we thought we were ok to drive ourselves home when we were not. The other attendees of the group thankfully didn't get hurt or cause any harm to anyone else but we shared the same sentiment where things could've definitely took a turn for the worse due to a bad decision we all made. The most similar story to mine was a guy leaving a wedding impaired and driving when he thought he was ok. The main difference between us was I was leaving a party and like him was stopped. This experience educated me on the legal and life ramifications of a bad decision of driving while impaired.

What I learn from the course was DO NOT drinking and driving. It could be put yourself and the other life in danger. If I have to out to drink again in the future, I will rather call uber or have my friend and family pick me up. After these classes, being in a car hasn’t been the same. I made the mistake to get behind the wheel, but I also made the rippling effects on loved ones and myself this was a hardship that was 100% my fault, I seem to keep that day on my mind all the time and it seems to follow me around to I did this to. Myself and I am where I am, that night and every memory attached. Applying lessons from a DWI, such as from DUI educational programs, involves creating a concrete plan to ensure safety, sobriety, and personal growth. Key actions include establishing a strict "no-drinking-and-driving" rule, using rideshares, reevaluating alcohol consumption, and adopting proactive, responsible daily routines. At the end I feel more confident in my ability to make safe choices for myself and in my community

My experience with the program has been a true eye opener. The educational side of this was something I was blinded to but now through the course and counseling I have been educated about the effects , consequences, and laws about alcohol. In the ReDIC Level I class it broke down the science and history of how alcohol came about. It has been around for ages and is a unique fermentation process to produce. Also I have learned the effects it has on the body. How you may feel like you are in good condition but in actuality you are not. Due to the chemical reaction it has on the brain , your vision and decision making is extremely distorted. Not only are you putting yourself in danger but you are also endangering the lives of others. Drinking and driving is very dangerous. Also the statistics on drinking and driving is mind blowing and show definitely be monitored. I also have been educated on the penalties and fees associated with a DWI and it can be a financial burden and also result in license suspension. Being in the program also helped me understand the true meaning of accountability. We all know people who drink in drive and can try to make ourselves feel better by placing blame but in reality two wrongs do not make a right. I have fully accepted responsibility for my actions and will move forward with better dignity and correct my wrongs.

From the beginning of the course, I was already in the mindset that I had made a bad decision. As I continued learning about the mental effects of drinking, I realized how alcohol can cloud your judgment and interfere with your ability to function properly. However, the course became even more informative when it explained how factors like body weight can affect alcohol consumption. For example, there was a clip where more than three individuals were asked to drink and then operate a motor vehicle at a crash test site. When their BAC levels were tested, they all had different results. That alone helped me understand that it doesn’t matter how much you drink—it’s always better to avoid driving altogether if you have consumed alcohol.

During the group discussion, one member mentioned that MADD videos should be shown in driver’s education classes, and I completely agree. People should understand the consequences of drunk driving before they are even given the privilege to drive, because it is a very serious responsibility.

Hearing the stories from MADD was especially impactful. My heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones to drunk driving. I know I would be devastated if any of my family or friends were taken from me because of someone else’s reckless decision. Like they said, if you’re going to drink, call a friend or use Uber, just don’t get behind the wheel of a vehicle. It’s not worth it.

My performance on the course was very beneficial I was able to learn a lot of how drugs can affect people and how much damage it can have on the body . How the person providing the drugs is a big problem from the people actually taking the drugs because they the cause of everything that’s going on .
