Very enjoyable meal: house special of half a chicken fries gravy and coleslaw washed fown with a charming local pilsner steam-whistle which is highly recommended

This is the place to come to for a fabulous Sunday buffet brunch. Good food, plenty of breakfast and lunch selections. And they even have live musicians playing jazz.

Came here to try their summerlicious lunch menu. Fix Prixe: $34 for their lunch. For apps we chose: Garlic and Chili green beans and grilled peach salad. For entrées: pasta a la limone and grilled lamb kebabs. Desserts: cardamom and orange brulee tart, and pistachio burnt Basque cheesecake. So for the appetizers, both were good salads. The garlic and chili green beans really had a kick to them so keep that in mind if you can't handle spice. Really enjoyed the peach salad too, good mix of tangyness and subtle sweetness. They add gorgonzola cheese to the peach salad and its not a cheese for the weak 😅 Our entrees were pretty good too although I found the lamb kebabs slightly bland and lacking in the Mediterranean flavours. The desserts were yummy! All in all, the summerlicious lunch menu was good, the portions were good, you get your money's worth here. The ambience was nice and quiet on a Tuesday afternoon and the staff, our server was Justin, he was amazing!

The Hot House Cafe has the best Sunday brunch! The Roast Beef is slow roasted and absolutely scrumptious! Omelette's are made before your eyes with the freshest ingredients! The french toast is fantastic with every kind of topping you can think of.. flavored syrups..whipped cream. They have wonderful cheeses, fruits, salads, bacon, sausages, freshly baked rolls, pastas, chicken.. you name it, they have it. I recommend the house juice with your meal.. it is my favorite! They also have a live Jazz band that plays while you eat!
Be sure to make a reservation!

Food was okay not bad not amazing. But good enough for a meal.
What was great was our server, mehdi I believe it was.. on the patio.
10/10 service, very knowledgeable on the menu when I asked several questions to help me deicde, but also with the beer choices as well.
Thanks for the service!

Hothouse is getting creative and I loved it. We went for a work social event - where they set up two smaller rooms and had a menu that they walked us through how to make. The timing of when they were done and the dish they just prepared came out was perfectly planned. All the staff worked so well. I felt transported back to one of those old cooking shows but totally revived. The staff were fantastic and it was a unique event. Highly recommend.

Food was okay. Got the platter in which we thought was charcuterie. Granted it didn't say charcuterie but reading it on the menu it insinuated it. Came with 3 pieces of cheese and same for meat. Rest was hummus' etc. Calamari was good, fish was a bit over cooked. Service was good, drinks were good. Good location.

I stopped by for lunch today and left with a mixed, yet overall positive, impression. While the food itself didn't quite bowl me over, the experience was elevated by the exceptional service and a truly wonderful environment.
We opted to sit outside, which turned out to be the highlight of the meal. It was an incredibly pleasant setting, perfect for a relaxing lunch. Stepping inside to take a look, I was equally impressed by the interior; it is exceptionally spacious and kept impeccably clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable vibe that is hard to find.
As for our meal, we decided to try the HH Signature Burger and the Tabbouleh Ancient Grain Bowl with Shawerma Chicken. Both dishes arrived at our table beautifully presented, and while the quality was decent, the flavors were fairly standard. They didn't quite reach the level of "memorable" or "special,".
Ultimately, this is a fantastic spot if you are looking for a beautiful place to dine with attentive staff. If the menu can eventually mirror the quality of the atmosphere, this place would be an absolute standout. I personally would not return.

I went to Hot House Restaurant today for an early dinner and ordered one of their new menu items — the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare at $31.00. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a disappointing seafood pasta dish. The seafood tasted undercooked, and the calamari was definitely raw in the center. The pasta itself was also undercooked and still hard — not al dente, just poorly cooked.

What made the experience worse was the response from the waitress. When I pointed out that the calamari was raw, she simply said she would let the kitchen know and walked away. No apology, no attempt to address the issue, and no effort to make things right.

I’ve been coming to Hot House for over 10 years, and unfortunately the quality has noticeably declined. The last three times I visited, I left disappointed, but I kept giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt hoping things would improve and return to the quality it once had. Sadly, it hasn’t.

At this price point — or even less — there are many restaurants serving far better food and offering much better customer service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I always wanted to come here. The location is perfect to bring tourists friends. The vibe is great. Foods are all nice and prices are reasonable too. We had drinks during happy hour.

My first time at HotHouse and won't be the last time, great food, great staff. We stopped mid-afternoon before getting back on the road again, and it was just perfect. If you are in the area, please stop just for a drink or for a slice of Baklava Cheesecake.

I'm going to be the bad one here and it's truthful. I'm giving it 2 stars as the only good thing was our wait staff. The food wasn't good this Easter Buffet lack of choices or cold. The rice pilaf was inedible as had been burned. The cold salmon was flavorless and slimy I couldn't finish either portion as it was bad.Who serves roast beef with chicken curry next to it? There were only hash browns for a potato choice nothingt0 complimentthe meats. My next issue was the seating we were put at a table right next to the dirty dishes station and the noise was unnecessary and loud as plates were dropped into tubs.Who seats someone like that it was very unpleasant. I will be looking someplace else for an Easter brunch next year as this was a horrible dining experience

Reasonable prices and really good food. Short walk from near the sports stadiums and hockey hall of fame. Salad was excellent and was the fish special I had.

Diets go here to die, their Sunday Brunch Buffet featuring a wide selection with solid execution across the board. Make sure you don’t miss the BBQ Chicken – moist, tender flesh with a crispy skin and umami depth – and pair that with a refreshing balance of sweet and acidic beet salad to cleanse the palate, adding a touch of veggies into your buffet bowl. The lasagna didn’t disappoint with its soft, comforting layers with a tangy tomato sauce and good meat ratio. The savory breakfast sausage brought a slight snap, nice char, and the right feel for brunch. Finish your meal(s) off with a dose of sugary indulgence, with a generously saccharine bread pudding with a strong custardy-maple syrup fragrance and vanilla, or a lighter apple crisp and tangy raspberry sorbet – a great finisher.

Winterlicious2026 The HotHouse. Great service! Apps came out
The calamari a la Plancha was delicious and little chewy but oh so flavourful. The Austrian Venison Tartare was very delightful yummy. The Champin̈ones al Ajillo were scrumptious. The mains ooo Short Rib Stifado were overdone the orzo was clumpy and cold. The Tuscan Swordfish was definitely fire 🔥. The baklava cheesecake was sinful yum. The Bougatsa .... delicious will go again.

This restaurant is located downtown Toronto. They have a bit of everything but seems like they specialize in brunch on weekends.

They have sandwiches, salads, benedicts, pastas and classic breakfast style dishes. They also serve mimosas, cocktails, coffee, tea and desserts.

The food is average and over priced for what you're getting. The drinks and desserts are good though with normal prices.

Service is also pretty average. The decor is nice and they have a patio but other than that, this restaurant is pretty average, at least for brunch.

If you're looking for brunch, I would suggest Chez Cora's over this restaurant. They've about the same quality but without the high price point and they have several more locations also.

Hot House has always had good food, and I’ve visited several times over the years. The quality has been consistent, and I especially liked their pizzas — they were always fresh and flavorful.

However, during my last visit, I was told they no longer had pizza available, which was disappointing. The service that day was also not as friendly or welcoming as usual, and it really affected the overall experience for me. Because of that, I haven’t gone back since.

It’s a place with good food, but I hope the service and menu consistency improve in the future.

The service and ambiance was really good, however, I ordered the spaghetti alle vongole, but it just wasn’t for me. The pasta had a slight play-doh taste that I didn’t love. That being said, everyone else in my group really enjoyed their meals, so it might’ve just been my dish. I’d still consider coming back to try something different on the menu.
