Chims Cabins is a family-owned, Indigenous-owned property on Highway 4 on the west side of Port Alberni, BC. Instead of a motel corridor and a single room, each of our six self-contained cabins has its own front door, a full-size kitchen, a private covered deck and dedicated parking. Instead of a motel corridor and a single room, each of our six self-contained cabins has its own front door, a full-size kitchen, a private covered deck and dedicated parking. Units sleep one to five guests and include heat pump heating and air conditioning, guest laundry, fresh linens and free high-speed WiFi. The property opened in 2018 and has grown to six cabins - Bear, Wolf, Eagle, Raven, Hummingbird and Butterfly - each finished with Indigenous artwork. Bear Cabin is step-free for mobility access. We are five to ten minutes from the city centre and the last accommodation before Sproat Lake, Tofino and Ucluelet - a practical base for the drive west, or for anyone here to work.
