We’re all about the tacos, tequila + margaritas here at Condado McCandless Crossing, but the main attraction is our build-your-own tacos! Choices range from toppings + proteins, to shells + sauces. We pride ourselves on having fresh ingredients made every single day and — unlike other joints — tacos made your way.

A great dining experience is about more than just the food. It’s the atmosphere, the service, the value, and how you’re treated. Condado Tacos checked most of those boxes for me.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere stood out. The colorful artwork, unique décor, and laid-back vibe made it feel like more than just another taco restaurant. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish.
I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito ($14.95), and as a military member, I was also treated to a complimentary Dream Taco, which was an awesome surprise. I really appreciate Condado’s support for the military, and that gesture definitely didn’t go unnoticed.
The food itself was fresh and flavorful. The Dream Taco was excellent and something I’d happily order again. The meat to veggie ratio was perfect. My only disappointment was the burrito. While it tasted great, it was filled with much more rice and black beans than carne asada. At nearly $15, I expected the steak to be the star of the burrito, but it was overshadowed by the rice. A more balanced ratio of steak to rice would have made it an outstanding value.
Despite that, the service, atmosphere, and military appreciation left a lasting impression. I’ll definitely be back, and I’m looking forward to trying more of the menu whenever I come back to town. If the burrito had a little more carne asada, this would have been an easy five-star meal.

Visited Condado Tacos in downtown Pittsburgh after seeing the strong ratings, but overall it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The interior is definitely a plus-cool, modern, and a fun atmosphere when you first walk in.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the setting. Our waitress only checked in once, and the whole interaction felt a bit off, like she might’ve been having a rough day.
When we had an issue with our margarita pitcher (it tasted more like juice than an actual margarita), we sent it back, and the response wasn’t very welcoming.
After that, we barely saw her again. It also seemed like some of the staff were more focused on chatting among themselves than checking on tables, which took away from the experience. At one point, it even looked like the chef was running food while servers were off to the side, which felt a bit disorganized.
As for the food, the chips, queso, and guacamole were easily the highlight- really solid. The tacos themselves were just okay- on the greasier side and felt a bit thrown together rather than well-crafted.
Overall, it gave more of a chain restaurant vibe than anything authentic or memorable.
Not a terrible experience, but not one that makes me eager to return or recommend, especially given the expectations set by the ratings.

The atmosphere is good lots of artists draw stuff on the walls to look at.
The service was excellent no wait food came out fast with just enough time between appetizers and meal.
Food was delicious generous portions for the price.

Great experience with amazing staff and food. My waiter was Goethe and he did a great job taking care of us. The chips were good although I will say there is nothing special about them. The food came fast and was great, exactly what I expected and wanted. The atmosphere was good and changes based of the time of day. At 3pm it’s typically quieter and calmer. But after 6pm it’s much more packed and loud.

Condado Tacos & Tequila is a lovely, delicious, and always crowded stop on Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh. We’ve stopped here in Feb. 2025 & 2026. Go ask for the manager’s Sam & John and they will satisfy all your Mexican needs from getting a great drink, to offering you some appetizers, to planning a last minute party in their private room for our boys volleyball team. Very accommodating staff such as, Madison C. Thank you very much for your service and dedication to your profession.
