Went to get my hair done for my graduation. Braider did not follow instructions at all. I asked for full boho braids, showed multiple videos and the boho stops halfway down the braid so hair looks very thin. In addition, I asked for human hair ends showing references multiple and rather than telling me at the beginning that she couldn't she chose to do what she wanted. I've gotten my hair done here before but the service this time was extremely poor. Despite coming for the past year, I will no longer go to Mariam's braiding. Rather than listening to me and attempting conflict resolution, I was spoken over by several adult women as a 17 year old. Very upset as my graduation is tomorrow.

I had an amazing experience at Mariam Hair Braiding! From start to finish, the service was excellent. They braided my hair extremely fast — at one point there were two braiders working on me — and they moved so efficiently while still doing a beautiful, neat job.

Everyone was so pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. They were able to fit me in later in the day to work with my schedule, which I truly appreciated. The salon itself is very clean and welcoming, and the whole experience felt comfortable and professional.

Mariam is truly the bomb. She always lets me check my hair while she’s braiding to see if i like the length the color etc. She did my hair in 5 hrs by herself and did a great job. I’ve been going to her for years and also with my 3 daughters.

Had my hair braided twice here, first time was amazing second time was ok experience but the style came out nice. I had knotless bora bora style with all human hair deep wave (synthetic breaker me out) First braiding experience was amazing-braider was gentle understood what i wanted and did a great job. I purchased the hair from them. I thought the price for the human hair was a little high but it lasted 6 weeks and didnt tangle too bad. Second time was a little dissapointing braiding experience but it came out ok. Braider did not understand me and started doing med size regular braids with the human hair. I attempted to stop her and explain but she gestured that she knew what she was doing and kept braiding. Finally the lady who did my hair the first time came over and saved me. She explained that it wasn't the style I wanted and they took the braids out and started over. I was angry and tired since I waited 3 hours just to get started and that was with calling ahead for an appointment but i was deperate. It was my bad and a valuable lesson learned dont come later than noon.
-it was 3pm on a saturday and I didnt get out until after 1 am. I brought my own hair which caused a little irritation as the owner kept telling me it wasn't good quality. But honestly 8 weeks later the hair looked amazing and never tangled so I stand by my decision. All in all its a solid braiding spot i give it a 4.5 and will be back
