Bought this product at infocomm.. Just did onboarding with my dedicated customer success manager. I must say, amazing tool with lots of functionality for AV integrators. Looking forward to use it in my day to day tasks.

My experience with XTEN-AV was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor throughout the entire process, with multiple follow-ups required just to receive updates, and promised response timelines were not met.

The functionality we needed was never delivered, and after months of waiting for even a response, we were informed that the feature was still in development. The only update provided was a Figma mockup rather than a working solution.

Because the platform did not meet our needs and was not usable for our intended workflow, I requested a refund, which was denied. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, missed expectations, and unresolved issues leave me unable to recommend XTEN-AV.

my membership was auto-renewed at a 400% increase with no communication at all. After reaching out asking them to cancel immediately I was told a CSM would reach out to me to process the refund. Well 2 months later and they have cancelled my membership but still have not refunded the over $1200 USD.

Software is pretty ok, they have added some functionality that isn’t very well thought through, but the schematic drawing part is pretty useful. They owe me a refund months now and their customer service is AI. So I am just being told that a customer service rep will contact me and it never happens. So BEWARE… they will take your money and you cannot get it back.

The worst platform I have ever used. Avoid at all costs.

I’ve been paying for the Business plan at $149 per user, and this is the worst platform I have ever used, not one of the worst.

The system is completely unreliable. Items randomly disappear, BOMs get corrupted, and information you carefully enter does not save. Prices change on their own, quantities get modified without explanation, and there is no version control or audit history to understand what happened. This alone makes the platform unusable for professional AV work.

The interface is slow, buggy, and poorly designed. Pages lag, features fail randomly, and the workflow feels like an unfinished beta product. You are constantly worried that your work will be gone the next time you open a project.

There is no trustworthy autosave. You can spend hours building a BOM, only to come back and find items missing, reverted, or altered. For a paid platform at this price point, this is unacceptable.

The product database is another disaster. Many items are outdated, duplicated, or incorrectly categorized. Manual corrections are pointless because the platform may overwrite or lose your changes later. Instead of saving time, XTEN-AV actively wastes it.

Customer support is almost nonexistent. The chat is clearly a bot, and when it claims to connect you to a “live agent,” the person responding does not understand the platform and cannot provide real solutions. Issues are never properly acknowledged or resolved.

XTEN-AV markets itself as a premium, all-in-one solution for the AV industry, but in reality it is a broken product that puts your quotes, deadlines, and professional credibility at risk. The gap between what they promise and what they deliver is massive.

At this point, it feels like a scam. You pay a high monthly fee and receive a platform that costs you even more in lost time and rework.

Honestly, Excel or Google Sheets are far more reliable than this software.

Avoid XTEN-AV. Do not waste your money or your time.
