Satmar Meats of Boro Park is truly in a league of its own. When it comes to kashrus standards, quality control, and consistency, I don't think anyone comes close. Especially when comparing it to the other Satmar meat store on 52nd Street, the difference is very noticeable.

The fresh meat department is outstanding. Their non-imported meats are absolutely top quality — beautifully marbled, and cut from real prime pieces. Whether you're looking for a simple roast, steaks, ribs, or a custom cut, they will prepare it exactly the way you want it. It's becoming harder and harder these days to find butchers who still take pride in their craft, but the staff here clearly knows what they're doing.

What really stands out is the consistency. Every time I shop there, the meat looks fresh, clean, and professionally displayed. I've never had to worry about what I'm bringing home.

Their takeout department deserves a review of its own. Yes, there are other places with good food, but nobody captures that authentic Hungarian-style heimish taste the way they do. The food tastes like it came straight from a traditional family kitchen. Rich flavors, generous portions, and recipes that remind you of old-world cooking that is becoming harder to find.

The cholent, kugels, meats, soups, and prepared foods all have that genuine homemade feeling. Nothing fancy or gimmicky — just real, solid food done right.

In a neighborhood filled with competition, Satmar Meats continues to stand out because they focus on quality instead of hype. If you're looking for top-level kashrus, exceptional fresh meat, and authentic heimish takeout, this is one of the very best places in Boro Park.

I had a great experience at Satmar Meats BP. The quality of the meat was excellent — very fresh, high-end, and sourced from the U.S. You can really taste the difference in quality. This Shabbos package was done to perfection. Every dish was delicious, heimish, and clearly prepared with care — from the fish and dips to the cholent, even the eggs with onions. Not a single detail was missing. It made everything feel easy and special. Highly recommended.

We get our meat from Satmar every week! Not only is the meat fresh and delicious each time, but the customer service is great too. This week I ordered Friday morning and asked if they could get it to me as soon as possible; they emailed me back right away telling me my order was prioritized and that it was being sent over via Uber. Really made my day to have such fast turnaround.
