Lee and team did a great job on our waterline replacement. They quickly diagnosed and found our leak, had a great relationship with the county water folks, worked as quickly as they could to restore our water, and advocated for the best solution for our underground leak. Great communication during the day and at night and worked until dark to get the job done. I highly recommend VA Plumbing Pros.

Virginia Plumbing Pros receives our highest rating and recommendation. We have a services agreement with HomeServe through Dominion. After a recent snowstorm, we began taking water in our basement. We thought it was due to melting snow. After a few days, we noticed the basement walls were wet. After that, a small pool of water formed in our front yard. Now suspecting a water line leak, we called the HomeServe emergency hotline. They had a “contractor” on site within hours. Unfortunately, that person was unable to locate the water shut off, which had been clearly marked by the water company. Then he said that our concrete front walk and perhaps porch would have to be broken up to locate the leak in the line and he would have to have an excavation crew come to do that work. I was assured that an appropriate crew would be there that afternoon. Late that afternoon, no crew arrived. I called the contractor. They told me that they were working on it. Then they said that they would have someone out within four days. Meanwhile, we were underwater and our sump was pumping full time to keep the basement somewhat dry. After a couple of days and two complaints to HomeServe, they finally assigned the project to VA Plumbing Pros. Within minutes of that referral, Lee of VAPP called me to say that he understood our problem and assigned a person for the job who would be at our residence within four hours.
Carlos was at our home 45 minutes after my conversation with Lee. Carlos immediately located the area of the leak, shut the water off at the street connection the previous contractor couldn’t find and dug down to the broken line. The line was repaired less than an hour after Carlos’s arrival. There was no need for an “excavation crew” and no need for the walkway or porch to be disturbed. Carlos took photos of the repaired line for me to see. He also restored our area to even better condition than it was before the leak.

I had just come back from major back surgery, followed a week later by another emergency surgery. I was really out of it when our toilet on the main floor backed up. We had Home Serve and a wonderful agent got me to have VA Plumbing come out within less than 2 hours.
Lee was a real pro. I walked him through the house and he knew exactly what to do. He unclogged our drain within an hour, did a wonderful clean up putting everything back in place. He stayed to check all was well and even made an adjustment so the water would fill faster.
He gave me an over view as to why this problem was reoccurring over the years and suggested we look into a camera of the drain to see how the cast iron drain can cause rough places at a bend to the drain pipe to the street. Others had tried to explain this but it never made any sense.
I will be calling VA Plumbing for the future. And I commend their plumber, Lee, for his professionalism.

Lee and his uncle took care of our water line break and restored service to our house. He and his uncle were hard workers and stayed until 7PM on a Saturday to ensure everything was working. Hopefully we never have another waterline replacement to deal with, but if we do, I will be calling Lee and VA Plumbing Pros.
