From start to finish this has been the best and most comforting experience I had ever had with a funeral home. Damon Duncan from the time he walked through the door to pick up my father was nothing but kind compassionate and caring. Damon talked with us about my father and made a hard time more comfortable. Damon preformed the service for my father and it was amazing. It was like he knew my father. He listens to everything you have to say the stories the memories and all. Thank you for shining a little light on a sad day.

I attended a relative’s funeral yesterday, handled by Dunbar Funeral Home, and I must say — as someone who has attended many funerals — they were exceptionally professional, kind, and courteous. Both at the church and at the cemetery, their team worked together seamlessly to make an extremely difficult time go as smoothly as possible.

I am very glad I chose J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home. From my first phone call until their services were completed, everyone at Dunbar showed concern, support, and professionalism. My wishes for my husband's funeral were top priority to them, and their service was top notch. They helped me through every step of the funeral process, and gave me information about what I might need to do to manage my husband's affairs afterward. The passing of a loved one is an incredibly difficult time. This past spring Pate and Jimmy Dunbar and the whole team at J.M. Dunbar helped our family with the burial of my elderly mother. Their compassion and guidance during this difficult time took a lot of pressure off of me. They made sure everything was taken care of and handled with great care, grace and respect.
I can’t thank them enough for all they did, and I highly recommended them to other families.

We recently worked with Dunbar Funeral Home for my father’s funeral, and I can’t express enough how grateful we are for their support during such a difficult time. My father needed to be transported to Philadelphia for his funeral, and what I thought would be a complicated process was made incredibly smooth and stress-free thanks to their team.

They maintained constant communication, making sure we were informed every step of the way, while also giving us the space we needed to grieve and focus on family. Pate was especially amazing—he went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled with care and respect.

Being in South Carolina, they don’t often handle Catholic funerals, but you would have never known it. They approached every detail with thoughtfulness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. Dunbar took care of all the heavy lifting, allowing us to spend our time where it mattered most—with loved ones.
