He was born and raised in Eastern Utah and received his Bachelor's degree from Southern Utah University. Dr. Allred completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon completion of his medical degree, he continued his orthopedic surgery residency at Affinity Medical Center. He was a practicing orthopedic surgeon in the US Air Force for three years. He completed a prestigious joint fellowship at both the Desert Orthopaedic Center and Nevada Orthopedic and Spine Center. His fellowship specialized in adult hip and knee replacement, and treatment of primary and complex hip and knee problems. While in the US Air Force, Dr. Allred served a six month tour as an orthopedic surgeon for the Special Forces in Afghanistan.
